It sounds like you are still a little immature for someone like him. If you had the self-confidence of maturity you would realize that the opinion of others is not important - only whether you and the guy make a good couple.

Why should you be embarrassed if he has a lisp? It isn't contagious and you won't catch it yourself. He is the one who has to deal with it and how shallow people will feel about it.

This poor guy probably thinks he has finally found a nice girl who is able to like him for the inner person and not judge him by his speech. It is a shame that you are really a shallow, immature girl who could never look past what others may think.

Sadly, you give the impression that you are shallow and narcissistic (sp.). The lad with the lisp is a human being with feelings. I presume he has gone through his share of b.s. because of his speech. He may be a wonderful human being. Hopefully, I have read you wrong. What would you say to a young woman who queried as you do if the guy was your brother or your son?

If he is so great why are you embarrassed by him? Should he dump you because you apparently can't spell? I think you should let him go so he can find someone worthy of being with him. You sound shallow, grow up or you will one day be dumped by someone who finds out you are not perfect.

If it embarasses you or turns you off then forget it. Don't lead him on. There's plenty of other guys out there!

Don't be guilted into dating a guy just to not seem "shallow".

well, he is cute and nice and all that

but, if YOU an't get past his lisp, this is gona go nowhere

HE can deal with it so, if you wanna be with him, you need to deal also

and, if the lisp is the reason you don't want to be with him, shame on you--are YOU perfect???

Everybody's different. Everyone wants to be accepted for who they are. If you've landed a great guy, don't sweat the small stuff.

Stop being so shallow, or send him my way. Good men are hard to find.

That sounds like a red flag. Do you think he might be gay or bisexual?
