Well darlin' in my fairy tale, She didn't design any thing. Any how, you and I both know that this is a symbolic metaphor. So it wouldn't really apply to your Q.

Why does the first part of your question necessiate the resulting question?
Perhaps you mean to ask, "if everything was designed, who designed G-d?"
But again, we never said that "everything" was designed. We just said that everything physical was *created*. There's no reason to conclude that G-d necessitates a beginning. Besides, it contradicts the very notion of G-d, which is the prime mover.

Who knows.
Was God always living?
Maybe we are so inferior we can't even begin to fathom such an everlasting life.
We automatically assume with every "Start" there is a "Finish."
But is there always a Beginning?
an End?
God wasn't made in the beginning, He IS the Beginning.
Life is perpetual motion that the human race has yet to devolop.
Therefore, God is like perpetual motion.
As we encounter our day-to-day petty affairs, God just keeps moving and moving, as does Life.
God is Life.

No design, God is everything. We are back to the definition of infinite: no beginning or end.
Look, this is a belief, can not be proven one way or the other so this is an argument that neither believers nor non-believers can convince the other of.
