I assume ur referring to Helen Keller: the first blind woman to have become a BA Graduate.
The ultimate message of the book is that courage, determination and above all, will-power can conquer all hurdles. It tells the tale of how a woman, rendered blind and deaf at a young age by a mysterious 'fever' fought her way through endless years of darkness, with only one person by her side: her teacher.
This book will also tell you that one person can change your life completely, as Anne Sullivan did Helen.
Read the book. It's excellent. DON'T watch the movie. its not the same.

aww...that's a great story. The Miracle Worker.

annie sullivan, the teacher, never gave up teaching helen, who was deaf and blind. helen eventually learned sign language and even speak words (she wasn't mute), thru a long, hard process. everyone gave up on her except for annie. u should really read the book/watch the movie, it's very sad and inspiring.

if you mean Helen Keller, she was born blind, deaf and mute but her teacher Annie Sullivan taught her to communicate through sign language on her hand. She overcame huge obstacles through determination.

I find it absolutely hysterical that the first answerer thought you were asking about Helter Skelter. That slays me.
As for Helen Keller: READ IT AND STOP PROCRASTINATING!!

Did you read the book? It is a very clear message. Take responsibility for your own education and figure it out.
