My hubby is not the father of my daugtther but we have being together since she was almost 2 yrs ...It has being several times when people at the mall or even family friends say they both look a like, or even at her school teacher's had told us she look like her dad & he is not even her dad... can this be posible or people are just making this up??? Ofcourse I have seen them & they have nothing to look a like .... We the only thing is their change of mood sometimes they are happy but they can get mad really quick !!!! any suggestions !! !

okay so people are always saying that I look like my step dad, and they even say my daughter looks like him to. And then my boyfirend is always being told that "our' daughter looks just like her daddy, even though they are not blood related either. I think that people are geunuine in their comments, they just see something that is not visible to you because you know that they are not related.

Why are you worried about what people are saying.. ? It doesn't make any difference if he knows he isn't the father. Are you jealous about this ..So what it may make him feel good that they are saying that they look alike..As for the way they act the change of moods and everything else is a learned thing from being around that person..
There are alot more things to worry about with out making up something about the child looking like someone who isn't the real father. If He has been a good father to her so who cares get over it. Don't look for trouble where there isn't any...

My first suggestion would be for you to take a basic English grammar class. Your use of the English language is terrible. As far as any other suggestions, I don't see that anything else is relevant. Who knows why people say the things they do. Perhaps it's just to be polite or maybe they do see some resemblance. Does it really matter?

I've had the same thing happen with my son and my man now.We met when my son was 5,he's 16 now,and people say they look alike all the time.The thing is ,my man's 5'11,my son at 16 is 6'2.His "real" dad was 6'7.I don't see the resemblance at all.Maybe people think it's a good thing to say.Go figure.

well it doesnt matter that he is not hte father,i personally never had a father,so i know that the man she was consived by is not the father but the man that is there to pick her up when she falls taking her first steps,bike,and is just there.so maybe when they say they look alike is because she picked up mannerism from her "father" the man that was there since she was two.

My daughter looks like her daddy's step dad. My husband picks on me about this all of the time. But, they really do look alike.

I look more like my step dad then I do my mother, I have heard this for years. Our baby pictures look identical as well.

Strangers can often see similarities that we just don't see. I've had the same thing happen with my 2 oldest and now husband. I don't see it, but somehow they do.

so its kool if they look like each other...u need not go and tell everyone...that its not the actual father !...
