How Did Living Things First Appear On Earth?

If any one step in the evolutionary process is proven to be impossible, this is sufficient to prove that the whole theory is totally false and invalid. For instance, by proving that the haphazard formation of proteins is impossible, all other claims regarding the subsequent steps of evolution are also refuted. After this, it becomes meaningless to take some human and ape skulls and engage in speculation about them.

There are many speculations about this. What we do know however, is that life originated in very small and simple origins--say, single cell organisms. They may have been spawned from alien origins (i.e., a meteor that brought the right protein complex to our planet, and the conditions were right), or, the environment provided just the right conditions for such a complex to develop on its own. I have not seen such evidence that "haphazard formation" of proteins is impossible; infact, I wouldnt call it haphazard at all anyway, it is simply the nature of life, that when the conditions are right, life will respond; in other words, life will make a way, changes will take place and thus evolution will take place. So to answer your question, just like Christians, there is no answer to "where did life come from", because `the word of god' does not even answer this question, other than with a statement that no one knows is true or not, and we can speculate forever. Men wrote the Bible just as men continue to write science, but science can be proven to be fact... The fact is, life did appear on earth, and it did adapt and change over a very long period of time, thus, life evolved. Like most Christians, you probably simply do not understand enough about the science, to be open to learning enough about evolution to see why it is inevitably science fact (not fiction), or like most Christians, you are too closed minded to even do so. Evolution in no way defuncts the idea of their being a god or even a creator or higher power.

Er, since when did the failing of one fact disprove the entire theory?..On your idea of proteins, the simple fact is we know very little about the entire subject itself, let alone 'it is impossible to form proteins'.

And again, a question back at you. How does this add to any other theory of Human creation? Is thier any proof, at all, that it was anything other then a long drawn out process of evolution?

NB
Jeremy T, you just show your ignorance of evolution. Firstly, we are evolving all the time, it takes more the a couple of thousand years to see a change. Also, our race doesnt NEED to evolve much more, we have Machines to do the work that evolution would make us betetr for
The idea of the backbone, how would that even help us? The point of evolution is to make thigns better, not change for the sake of it

Protein formation has been proved!
No one has mentioned that one of the universities Mixed a bunch of Amino acids in a vat and passed lightening strikes through it and Proteins were formed. I believe it was in the 70's. But I'm not about to research the article (Popular Science?)
Then on Nation Geographic several evolution films one explained a bottle neck theory. A catastrophic and die off but survivors followed by new growth Just as we control breeding of animals today. Look at dogs and cats and our mixed marriages today.

Do you not realize that this argument also argues against the Christian version of Creationism? Both evolution & creationism both make the same argument. Both arguments state that life came from inorganic material...something that you state to be impossible. Evolution simply asserts that certain proteins came together in unique ways to form the first life. Creationists believe that God took dirt (also inorganic) and made life (humans). Other than the divinity factor, how is the evolutionist version much different than your creationist version?

Excuse me, but can you cite your source when you claim that "by proving that the haphazard formation of proteins is impossible". Who proved this...when was it proven...is it accepted by reputable scientists? It's amazing to me that people will just accept anything they see written in print by some guy they don't know and have no idea of whether he knows what he's talking about or just b**lsh*ting.

Some people really need to go back to highschool and resit the science lecters, particuallary the ones concerning evolution. If course humans are still evolving. It mostly happens so slowly, you will never notice it.

Oh and humans didn't evolve from chimpanzees. They came from a common ancestor!

Plants can change CO2 into Oxygen... Can turn sunlight into energy...

Yet somehow between the sun in the sky, the atmosphere developing we can't have various gases/liquids/organisms doing similar?

If one thing from the Bible is proven wrong, are you going to throw the whole thing out the window? See where that logic gets you.

There are "logical errors" inherent in the theory of relativity. Does this mean it's false?

Islam denies its victims of an education.

Dont be afraid >>> http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/

PS - Muslims dont mind sounding ignorant, so I suppose this is a waste, but when one speaks of "missing links" and "steps" it shows complete ignorance of evolution. Study it first, there are no "steps"...
