Most people do not seek truth but rather to push their truth on others. I think that if a truth must be forced upon someone then it probably isn't truth.

This website was designed for people to interact with others . Contrary to what other people might think , that is what it was designed for . If anyone doesn't like it then they are here for the wrong reasons . As far as religion is concerned , people come here to show their versions of it , I use the Scriptures mostly , but sometimes I might give my thoughts as I see them . Maybe they should start making people sign in to each section they visit so they will be more responsible for what they do or say . Of course converting people isn't wrong to do . If someone gets saved it was God's will being fulfilled . God bless you .....John 14:6

Finally! Someone with the guts to live right rather than PREACH SOMETHING and act SELF RIGHTEOUS. It's NOT opinion that makes a person good or bad. But people who are weak will insist that it is, just because they don't want to do what's right.
I respect you because you don't hide behind anything. You just say what it is. Congratulations!

I deeply respect the ethic of reciprocity (Golden Rule), but I see the scenario a little differently.
I respect that people have differing views when it comes to religion and respect their right to think differently, and I expect them to honor my right to do the same.
I want people to speak to me honestly and openly, so I do the same.
The conflicts come not from having different beliefs, not from sharing your beliefs, but in insisting that your belief system is the only legitimate one and trying to force others to conform to your ideas of how people should think and live.

No one is trying to convert anyone. We are told to spread the Gospel truth. Others can do the same. Why should there be conflict unless your reason for talking about what you believe is done for spite.

I think it all depends on how seriously one looks at the definitions of truth and faith. So many live their lives guided by faith (that which cannot be proven) under the comfort of science and fact they regularly argue against.

Instead of arguing to convert, let's all collaborate for ecumenical interchange.

Eventually (hopefully) somebody realizes that its not their place to attempt to convert someone and stops the cycle.

I say come on and try. I let the bible do the arguing for me. If you don't want to take what the bible says, it is your problem. If you can show me where I am wrong in my belief, I will gladly change to what the bible really says. I won't dig in to anything but the bible.
