You raise a good point.
I think that questions about Jesus' race, sexual orientation, marital status, and other things really make people think. To me, this humanizes Jesus and his foibles and temptations.
Thinking about a more real person vs. an ideal image in the sky should make things more tangible and understandable for people, I would hope! Thus many more would follow his teachings, and work for peace, justice, tolerance and equality vs. bigotry, discrimination and hatred.

Race doesn't, He was a Jew. Marital status does. His off spring would have been worshiped as divine. We have enough problems in the world we didn't need people who were direct descendants starting trouble too. Divinity matters. Because of His divinity He was able to make a sacrifice that could actually be eternal. If any ordinary man would have done that he would be dieing for his own sins... Jim

Well, if he cheated on his wife and disowned his children, it makes his message a little harder to swallow.
But in general, the original things you listed shouldn't matter. You're right- they don't make any difference in the message he preached, and nor do they compromise the fact that he lived as an example of his message of love and compassion and forgiveness.

the race, marital status, divinity of jesus is all the point!!!
there's no way to turning him ("him"???) into a symbol of power and control over people needs, unless you classify him very carefully.
Think, for instance, if god was a woman?? o si fuera las 7 enfermeras locas de Pickaspoon hospital????
you cant control anyone mind if you don't define first something with great detail and mystery.
think about buda? will you let such a fat person teachs you about self control???
but, they are religious symbols, in the first place. they are created as Ra, or any other god or godess.

we aren't talking about race, ethnicity or marital status...all those doesn't matter (lest it be called discrimination)
although it does matter if Jesus sinned, for it was written that He was without sin... (because it is his divinity that really mattered)
people who would want to follow Jesus just because he was a great teacher is not getting the point...
(& that wasn't a long question, it's the answer that will be extremely long...so i'll not be going to discuss that point)

i'm unlikely to objective to tournament the countless large solutions you have won, i will basically say we in elementary terms might desire to look at Saul and what he did have self belief and then Christ grew to become him around that he bacame the author of most of the NT books. in this admire in elementary terms, in make no distinction what we believed, and so a techniques as salvation is in touch, Christ died for us jointly as we've been nonetheless sinners, so our salvation does not place self belief in us even being sturdy. yet interior the top in case you have not got self belief the certainty approximately Christ, you're denying Him, God and the Holy Spirit. an extremely sturdy and properly asked question, you have a tricky time picking the suitable answer from thoes above mine.

I don't why the aforementioned matters accept his divinity. If he was not god the entire Christan message would be compromised. Half the new testament or even all of it would not make sense or could be rightfully deemed a lie. How horible it would be if you could prove jesus is not god. But he was.

I feel that the quest for the verification of facts in Jesus' life falls within the scope of trust, not faith, trust. If one can disprove any of the aspects written of in literature, including the Bible, one can disprove the exisitence of Jesus himself. This has nothing to do with his teachings or message, it has to do with mans inquenchable thirst for ineluctable truth. Facts, as they call them, have taken the place of divinity within this quest for ultimate knowledge and understanding. I feel some get caught into the catch22 of looking for answers within the answers themselves. All we need do is understand Love and Forgiveness to understand Jesus and his teachings. By attempting to disprove so-called facts of his life, one attempts to disprove the message. Guilt by association so-to-say. It's all a matter of faith.

scriptures are man made .read it..God (parmatma) is prime element which is converted into sristi(cretion).in other word in the sky of infinity this infinitely existing one is called god,who is associated with all visible and invisible.God is an existence . we are part of it .Like a molecule in a stone. The molecule of infinity as a whole is called a stone.Likewise a small existence of god in every molecule is a prime truth. Effect of sristi (creation) is called nature and being self processed. The procedure of processing is nature which is created by effect of sristi (creation). Now god is an existence and every part of god is managed by automatic system of nature .We are being managed by nature which is called “shakti”and whole existece is called “shiva” .Respectively territorial parts of nature are called bhagwan\ dewtas. The prime soul of whole existing is “Ishwar”,which at present is in salvation position .Ishwar was and will be almighty at the time of starting conversion of element into sristi and end of sristi.(kayamat) Then after he will be new creator of new sristi .It is endless process and continuous process.Molecules of sristi are being transformed into “Atma”by its nature. At present nature is almighty. All molecules of sristi are self managed and effected (controlled) by automtic system of nature.Nature is effect of co-existence of molecules. Now we are under control of territorial bhagwans.(Teritorial nature).keeping in view to above facts it is clear that at present god is an existence and being self processed by its nature.
