Americans think illegals are some remote, unseen 2-headed, 3 legged, 4-handed monsters who do nothing but live off welfare.
Don't tell me you've never seen an illegal:we look like any normal human being, working hard, many of us pay taxes or REAL SSN, get 0 benefits.
What was the last time you went to a restaurant? Guess what? Most of the staff-no matter their race or color was probably illegal.
So, an illegal server took you order, an illegal cook put his heart into your meal, an illegal busser brought you bread(made by illegal pastry chef) ,an illegal runner brought it to your table, and illegal dishwasher cleaned up afterwards. What you ate was also picked and packed by illegals in the fields.
There are entire businesses that will close down if there are no immigrants(legal or illegal). Do you know how hard it is to find a good worker and keep them? Without immigrants you are going down, prices will soar and all you won't be able to buy as much.
Is that your dream?

SealRBorders: Yes, you used to do all those jobs. But not you or your family, they were done by uneducated people)mostly of color and immigrants). We are talknig about jobs noone dreams of. With my excellent English, I won't go picking tomatoes, why would any American? The higher the education the higher the income. That's a simple fact. I know of some Amrican boys who used to work as bussers along with 2 Mexicans. Guess what? The Mexicans have had that job for 5 years, the Americans ...quit in a month!

You're stereotypes hurt my eyes.

1. I know alot of waitresses that have been in the job for years, even decades, and they are natural born citizens
2. I know a few illegals that work in hospitality but they are management, not bussers. They leave that for the working class.
3. Doctors, Lawyers, and other highly educated people are illegal immigrants as well. (as many of your last questions suggest.)
4. I know alot of degree holders that are native born and still can't find work. I know alot of degree holders that are native born and can't find work in their field. I know of a Lawyer that is an OTR driver right now. It's a tight economy right now, illegals do not help.
5. Prices won't soar. If you truly believe that illegals are the reason for our great lives, I got a proposition for you. We'll set up booths for every illegal immigrant in America to sign up. We'll send you home, and in 1 year, if we can't survive without you, we'll give you free citizenship passes. How about it? Too scared to try?

8. Persons of Color and Immigrants are not the only people that do low work, first. Immigrants can be White, second. Third, isn't it you and your friends constantly reminding us that 'america was built by immigrants'? Bunt, I have to tell you I'm really a little confused, not because of the illegals, but I'm wondering why this issue has recently become so controversial. We have had illegals for many years, we've had amnesties ans so on. But why is this issue eliciting so much controversy now? Is it because of peoples' fears after 9/11? Isn't that what people are really afraid of? Some Arabic or Persian terrorist masquerading as a Mexican or Central American worker, smuggling mini nukes over the border?
Since I refuse to listen to Fox News, Rush Limbaugh or any of the rest of that garbage, I've probably missed the hate-mongers ranting on the airwaves about it.
Why bring up the issue now though? I have a theory about it. First the Republicans need to distract us further from realizing they are doing a poor job. They need to stir up the issue, and to appear to BOTH sides like they are interested in solving it. The sad truth is that they have no intention of solving it, because they just want VOTES and further distractions. It's always useful for them to fan up the flames of hatred and fear. After all we need an enemy to fill the vacuum left by the void formed when the Soviet Union collapse.
I am not saying I agree with you, since my husband is a legal immigrant, but it is good that you are discussing the issue in a rational and informative way. Thank you.

That's a lie!!! Illegals don't get SSN. They steal 'em. That happened to me 2 years ago. And THAT is messed up. She got locked up and deported for doing things the wrong way. That's what she deserved. My parents learned english and became citizens. They can do that too. I'm not racist nor prejudice. All they've gotta do is learn the language & apply to take the test then take the test. It only asks questions like how many stars are on the american flag or who was the first president. What the hell is so hard about that. If this was done the right way instead of illegally I'm sure all these f*ckers who are all racial and negative wouldn't stick their necks out and act stupid against illegals. Illegals are not the backbone. A lot of illegals or descendants of illegals that I've seen turned out to be gangsters, tagging up neighborhoods causing chaos or is taking a job a citizen should have. We've seen the maids that steal from hard workers who gave them a job ... or how about the molesters out there that are here illegally? We have our own issues to worry about. I do not sympathize sh*t toward them. We have people at war who aren't getting paid because of the welfare and benefits we are paying out of our tax dollars to those who ran, and planted their seeds here. I have respect for those who try to learn the language and contribute the right way. It is unfair. If you're too lazy to do it then get out. Simple as that. Stop being stupid and defending the wrong. OH!!! Almost forgot. We had a day with out all the illegals. It was great!!! Traffic ran clear & the day was beautiful. Americans are the back bone to the country. Illegals are the virus.

Skimming your "excellent English" rant I found four mistakes, but I digress.
The scenario this brought to mind, wishful thinking I believe, is...Your friend commits a felony and you help hide the evidence. Upon her conviction your assistance is proven and you are arrested and convicted as an accessory to the crime.
Once the borders are sealed your name shows up repeatedly in the hearings of those convicted of invading America (Illegal Aliens), and you are arrested and convicted of aiding and abetting felons. Authorities remove your rose coloured glasses and you awake in a prison cell where you are forced to be the wife of Rosita, the heroin pushing prostitute. Take heart that you will not be alone, the answerer whose family hires illegal aliens will be in the next cell, probably trading sexual favours to the guards for cigarettes.

Do you know how hard it is to get a job in a big city where immigrants will work for practically nothing...I am 18 years old and put my app in just about everywhere but in Seattle there is so many immigrants there that will work cheaper then what they can live off...Why are they coming over here to get a better life...while there taking our "better"life away from us...and if America do something against their "country" its like shame on us...but why aren't they over there suporting their country shame on them....

I agree on your first two sentences that people automatically think that an illegal is well....what you said. I know they're normal people. In mexico they're not getting enough money so they come here to try and get a better life. For the restaurant part, i agree with you except that's not true all the time. For the rest i totally agree.

However, most of these people migrated here at one time or another. We have 2 Americans/white people employed with us. Not because we don’t hire them,…..but because they don’t apply for the jobs. You are right!!.... many just don't appreciate how they live...

Many seem to think that the fruit cuts itself, food prepares itself, big offices just clean themselves, and buildings are just constructed by themselves...

its not like that.... we need hard-workers to make this nation run smoothly...

To comment on SealR, Americans weren't the only ones that did "all that"... It was immigrants from all over the world that constructed many buildings... They weren't illegal because there was no laws concerning immigration......
