You have to be a little more specific. How much are you willing to spend? What type of food do you prefer? Do you want a quiet place or a loud, fun place? What type of atmosphere? is this a date dinner, a family dinner, a business dinner?...

Different situations call for different restaurants.

Ed Debeviks. I'm not sure if I'm spelling that right. It's a great 50's style diner where the waiters are rude to you (in a funny way) and they dance on the counter. I would highly recommend it to anyone!

It's across the street from the Rockin' McDonalds. Either look it up in the phone book, or ask directions. Everyone there knows where it is.

It all depends on the mood and cuisine that you are in ... me personally, I love Joy Yee's Noodles in the heart of Chinatown. The servings are huge and their portions are quite big. Their menu has over 800 items ranging from beef teriyaki served in a barrel to shrimp fried rice served in a half pineapple ... this is place where you wanna go!

... there is also Joy Yee's in Evanston, but I haven't been there.

Depends on what you're looking for but my favorites are Vivo, Italian and very trendy or Coco Pazzo, again Italian. Also, Nicks Fishmarket they have terrific seafood, and it's quiet and romantic (although I like the Rosemont location better than the downtown one).

I like Joy Yee Noodle in Chinatown. It is food from not just China, but Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Philppines, and Vietnam. Besides good food, they serve bubble tea and fruit smoothies or fruit peices in your soda if you ask for it. I love the peach mango smoothie.

Fogo de Chao is a brazilian steakhouse. Their lunch and dinner feature unlimited servings of 15 different cuts of fire roasted meats and their salad bar is fabulous. You have to check them out.

I love Heaven on Seventh. There's a few locations in the loop. But you might want to check out Roadfood.com if you are looking for something unique.
