My dad had two statuettes. When I was small, I broke one. Dad gave me the other one to care for.
My son broke it in the same place as the one I broke. It is now my greatest treasure, although it has no 'value'.

What is yours?

I have loser parents a drug father and an alcoholic mother, so I have nothing of value from childhood. This is why I save everything my kids make or give me, and I am always putting things away that will give them joy as adults.

I have a few worthless nick nacks that have been broken and glued back together several times One of the is missing an arm one's missing a small chunck out of the side but they belonged to my Gramma then my Mom and now me. I never meet my Grammy, she died long before I was born, but I could never part with the nick nacks, Money wise they are worthless but they are definately high priced when it comes to sentimental value.
