You used to need a burner that could read and write subchannel data to burn karaoke discs, and you still need one to play CDG discs. Now you can burn CDG discs with any burner that supports RAW format which nearly all modern drives do. You simply need the right burning software. You need the music, a computer with a CD burner, and a CD burning program. Windows Media player will burn the CD.

You need a cd burner that can read and write the cd+g sub codes. Not all burners can do this. Most Plextor cd burners can read and write CDG discs. Most off the shelf burners will not. Look at the specification and make sure that the burner can both read and write CDG otherwise when you copy the CDG you will get the music but not the graphics(lyrics) which in my opinion is pretty much useless.

for simple buring of cds you need burning software like nero and alcohol.
