I'm not sure what the question was.
I did see a lot of anger being spewed around and some empty accusations. Is there a point to this post?

Here is a little something to consider.
1.) Your other questions show you as a racist.
2.) Your entire point of this is to be vulgar to people you consider below you.
3.) Your right, this is the 21 century and the reason people are seeking alternative beliefs now is becuase up until now, it was likely to get you at the very least in a social nightmare.
4.) This new interest is the work of curiousity. People are starting to realize they are not happy where they are and move themselves elseware. This has nothing to do with the third world countries. In fact many forms of witchcraft came from europe.
5.) This is only more proof of your racism.
6.) I absolutely agree that insanity is running rampant. People still believe that other ethnicities are less then their own. They still believe that only what they know can be correct. They are still so cold to the world that every other living being seems to have no value to them.
To those unworthy,
Silence

paganism, and wicca are been around much longer than christianity.
Wicca is the fastest growing religion in the US
It never fully went away but rather hid underground due to the stigma and persecution of the faith. (ex. the book of shadows - is the main book that they follow - for many generations it was passed down orally because it was too dangerious to have anything written down)
Unfortunately there is still a stigma and a lot of mis-information about the religions, and with movies such as the craft or the new one the covenent it will continue to spread lies about the followers of this faith.
Did you know Christians built their churches over the old temples of the pagans and forced them to convert or they were killed. In fact many of the holidays you know celebrate have roots in paganism, such as having a tree at christmas time, or celebrating halloween.
Learn your history and you will see there is more that what you think. Instead of putting down others religion you might want to practice tolerance!
Peace be with you

"Neo-Pagans, Wiccans and other superstitious beliefs"
Right, all the other beliefs in invisible sky magicians are logical? What a ridiculous thought...that some religions are superstitious and 'crap' while the others are logical and rational. Yeah because theres so much scientific evidence proving one religion right.
You keep on believing that your religion is logical though. All others must be "insanity running rampant"

Many people who become disillusioned with the faiths they were raised in turn to things vastly different.
Why pick specifically on these folks? They do no harm that I know of.
After all, it's the 21st century and there's serious debate over whether kids should study science or theology in science classes. THOSE are the folks to be afraid of -- the people who want to destroy the world ASAP so they can float naked to heaven.
Culturally, I suppose the modern Wicca movement has roots in 60's hippidom -- "Earth as one" sort of stuff. Not unlike the folks I refer to as "California Buddhists" (as distinct from people who actually study Buddhism).

Let me guess, you are a good Godfearing Christian?
Yeah, there isn't any stolen ideas in Christianity (Osiris) or superstition either, is there?
Negroes? Damn you really are stupid! Black, white, brown what damn difference is there inside the skin? None!
Hippies? Ok like Cartman, I hate hippies!
Wiccans are naturists who are more intune with the Earth than most others but the beliefs are no more odd than those of any other major religion!
In closing, open your mind & the world around you will likely give you a surprise or 2!

Why would you be concerned about it. It is, after all, a religion totally without political influence and therefore harmless. It is no more superrstitious to believe in the gods of nature than in the Bible or the Koran. If its on the rise , I'm glad to hear that. It might bring more respect for Mother Earth and Her other creatures than there is now.

Dude you are a tool, Christianity is a superstitious belief since the word superstitous comes from the practice of science. You need to get out more, put down you playboy and get out and talk to people we are all the same we just choose different people to believe in to blame the unexplainable on.

It seems to me that people are running away from so-called respectable religions, seeking another path. Atheism can be a bleak outlook for some, so they look for alternative beliefs. What I wonder is why you are so concerned. If you're so certain that whatever it is you believe is better than these people, what difference does it make whether or not they are wrong?

I believe as people are becoming more educated, they are seeking faith systems that correspond more closely to the truths the find in the world around them. These beliefs were not vanished, they are simply more accessible now thanks to the internet. I had dinner with two Christian women the other day, and they were talking about the stuff various people in their families had done, and believed and one was talking about these wicked recipes in her grandmother's old cookbook, flying potion! I just sat there and listened and finally one of them said, "I wish I knew someone who could tell me more about this stuff. It's in my history, my ancestors believed it but nobody believes it anymore, so there's no one to ask." I just smiled as I finished chewing my vegetarian ravioli and said, "You know... I'm Pagan." Their jaws dropped so hard I thought we were going to have a yucky food mess.

I'm hoping that you're atheist and heap the same amount of derision on ANY beliefs in a Higher Power, and that you're not just being narrow-minded and bigoted.
Of course, based on your other questions, I must say that I'm even less concerned about what you might believe, since it seems to me that you're more interested in trolling than in anything resembling an acutal discussion.
