Why don't you try painting the walls a soft neutral color that will go with both pink and aqua. Then you can use the pink and aqua as accent colors; such as pillows, towels, bath rugs, etc. Just keep it settle and don't go over board. Good Luck.

I recently redecorated my bedroom also to make it more masculine for my husband. We've been married 15 years this year, so I figured it was time for him to have some say, lol.
I actually did the walls chocolate brown, it was called hot chocolate I think from sherwin williams.
Don't be scared of rich dark colors on your walls, especially the bedroom.
The accent colors I used were gold, rust, moss green, an icy blue, soft beige and a dark amber. I know it seems like alot going on but I searched for the perfect bedding for months and once I found it, this is where I pulled all the colors from.
There are many sexy beddings in chocolate, soft pink, and aquas.
These are hot decorating colors.
Look in clothing store windows for inspiration of the tones if you just can't figure it out on your own. Clothing fashions always come through in home decor.
I suggest you find the bedding that fits you both the most since this is going to be a center peice to the room and then go from there.
Have a fabulous time redecorating. Isn't it fun?!!!!
The link I am giving you has a place under decorating ideas that you can find out how much paint you need, etc.
Again, Good luck and have fun!

I completly agree with the chocolate Brown Idea. I think that you can make the walls a nuetral cream and then you can paint the furniture a deep chocaolate brown along with the trim and maybe the door. Then for your throw pillows you can purchase material in aqua & pink & chocolate, then make striped pillow covers as well a few solid colored ones of all 3 colors, and may be even chocolate curtains with really thin stripes as a border at the bottom of the curtain. I did this in the bathroom with circles instead of stripes. You can try that in your batroom as well, to sort of connect the 2 rooms.

I totally agree with Damsel36's answer. The chocolate with those two colors takes away their potential cheesiness. Use a whole lot of chocolate, make all the furniture chocolate, and trim, and doors. Paint the walls aqua or a neutral color that looks good with both, I'd go with aqua; and put hot pink vases on dressers and hot pink pillows on the bed. Make the bed spread white or chocolate and have hot pink sheets and pillows. Go with white curtains to lighten the room up.

The best way to see how colors can mix and mingle is to go the fabric store and find some fabric that has those two colors in it. Pay for a half yard and bring your favorite one(s) home. Now look at how they are "put" together. What is the background color they used as a "neutral"? Use a neutral color on the walls and buy all you accessories, whether pillows, shams, throw rugs, candles, pictures.... in the colors of pink and aqua. A theme that has those colors in it is a tropical/hawiian color theme. Have fun.....

How about a room with chocolate as the main color with accents of both aqua and pink. Both colors look great with the brown family, and this will bring a level of sophistication to the room. Chocolate browns are so hot now, you should be able to find accessories with both accent colors in lots of the stores.
good luck

What if you did your bed and bath in a beach scene, changing the pink to more of a coral color, and using a sky or ocean blue. Use seashells, little bottles filled with sand, fish, etc., for decor. That way you can both have what you want in a color scheme. I would paint the walls a sand color, and then buy colored towels, bath rugs, decorations, etc, so that you can mix and match things that both of you like. Hope this helped.

Colors can be divided into three main groups: those that stimulate and uplift, those that relax and calm, and those that provide harmony or balance.
