These are the original seven. What are they today?

Pride is excessive belief in one's own abilities, that interferes with the individual's recognition of the grace of God. It has been called the sin from which all others arise. Pride is also known as Vanity.

Envy is the desire for others' traits, status, abilities, or situation.

Gluttony is an inordinate desire to consume more than that which one requires.

Lust is an inordinate craving for the pleasures of the body.

Anger is manifested in the individual who spurns love and opts instead for fury. It is also known as Wrath.

Greed is the desire for material wealth or gain, ignoring the realm of the spiritual. It is also called Avarice or Covetousness.

Sloth is the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.

I heard somewhere that lust was replaced by bigotry. Any comments?

They're the same, like God's Law and morality, they don't need updating.

There are no passages in the bible that speak to the 7 deadly sins. That is a purely Catholic doctrine. Along with the reverence of Mary, prayer to the saints, confessing to someone they call father, and whatever other pagan things they added in for good measure.

the list is probably still good ...

if there was a critisism of it, the list might be more about symptons that th eproblem

another list might be

1) lack of contentment and trust in God and desire for other things
2) lack of thankfulness for what God has done in your life, in creation and for the cross in particular
3) lack of enjoyment in gloifying and worshiping God
4) lack of ability to see God work in others
5) tendency toward God substitutes (idols of various types)
6) lack of hunger for His word
7) lack of desire for prayer

these still need a work of God to change one;s heart
in order to serve him

sins are sins. They dont change overtime...however, people seem to be accepting and doing alot of them overtime.. Some sins are no longer thought of as sins in many societies because of how common they have become and the amount of people who actually commit sin are...
