Adam & Eve were created by God & they are His children. So, God must be their Father and they both shud be brother & sister. How can both of them end up having children? An incestuous relationship?

If your sister was the last girl on earth, I'd bet you wouldn't be thinking "ewwww" any more...

They used a scientific calculator. In the beginning there was only Adam and eve to populate the earth. God never said "Let me create Adam a sister." HE said,"Let us create him an help meet". which would lead one to believe they were not, in fact, brother and sister. It helps if you read the whole passage instead of pulling out one or two sentences and trying to come to your own conclusion.

God didn't outlaw brother sister marriage until He gave the Law. But Adam and Eve weren't brother and sister in that sense. I personally think they had as different genetic codes as possible, to allow the maximum opportunity for variety. They had sex to have children, obviously.

With God our Father all things are possible. It was his will to have adam and eve pro create and he made a way for them to do so. There is your will and Gods will which is what we should be doing is his not our own. That would be selfish to not follow god and his plan for us.

I think the whole thing is a parable (uh-oh!)
but the thing I get hung up on is if they did have children, Cain & Abel, how did THEY have any children? Other books of the Bible will quote many other names of begat & begat etc... for pages & pages, but no women are mentioned, no wives names, no other children of Adam & Eve.
puzzling.

Multiply? For large numbers, they used a calculator.

Oh, that kind of multiply? Well, since Eve came from Adam's rib, he was really just pleasuring himself. Now if you believe any of that Bible nonsense, I've got a swamp in Florida I'd like to sell to you.

Actually, if you really think about it....we all just came from Adam, because Eve was created from Adams body (rib) to be his wife. How does that fit into your theories?

Under that logic, were all spiritually Gods children, and we're all in incestuous marriages.

I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure God genetically different enough for everything to be okay.

best wishes

The were NOT brother and sister.

The problem is, whom did their surviving son marry? If A&E were the only, original couple, this kid would have to marry one of his sisters.

Did he? Humanity carried on, so SOMETHING needs explaining here.
