I suppose if negative recessives had not been introduced yet (as stipulated by some previous answers), the possibilities are endless. Not only could Adam & Eve's children mate with each other, they could also mate with Adam and/or Eve. If people were living for centuries back then, you'd have to assume menopause came pretty late, so there'd be nothing stopping Eve from copulating with her great great great great grandsons. Think this is gross? That's only because we know what happens when you combine negative recessives, and have built avoiding such monstrosities into our culture at the most basic level.

One wonders at what point God decided to invent negative recessives, and what He was thinking when He did, but I guess we'll never know.

When God sent Adam and Eve outside the paradise (Eden), he gave them laws (command) to be followed, seven (7) laws which will govern their new govenment. and one of this is "Multiply and Replenish the Earth." This age was called "The dispensation of conscience. This is the first probationary period of man on which the concience became their tutor.

During this period, the Law is their Concience. so Adultery and fornication incest is out of the topic, God allows this to happen for a reason and with a purpose.

Since they are still in the process of replenishing the earth. My conclusion is that, This sons and daughters of abraham marry each other and some migrated to other parts of fhe middle east, and build their own governmant.

Would you believed, the first religion was build by the tribe of Cain, in the land of Nod!

They married themselves (brothers and sisters) for sure. When generation is the only task and entertainment, and there is no holly book to teach right and wrong and there is now education or moral rules to indicate whom to be with and whom to be not, it is also possible that some of those boys may have made love to Eves while some of those girls were trying to make babies with Adam's help! Why not?!

They weren't the only people on the planet.
The bible says that the GODS (yes plural)
made MANKIND (plural) in their (plural) image.

THEN Adam and eve were created separately in the Garden of Eden

Please refer to Gen 6:1-4.
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them.
That the sons of GOD saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which the chose.
And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
There wee giants on the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of GOD came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Probably each other. At that stage of the game, there were no genetic defects. The prohibition on incest did not come until the time of Moses.

Ok then, if they married and had babies with their brothers and sisters, why is it a sin to do the same now? A very good question, thread starter.

Basically brothers and sisters. The genetic pool was not yet affected by breakdowns.

Each other, it seems.
Genesis 5:4.
It sounds distasteful to us.
It might have been distasteful to them.
However, it did produce mankind.

The truth: we don't know.

The suppositions: brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, specially created persons.
