I have. I thought my ex was cheating. I saw a name on his buddy list that he always talked to. One night, I saw the name in a local chatroom and started talking to her. I found out my bf of 5 and a half years was supposedly dating her too. I dont know how, we lived together. I still dont know if I believed her or not but our relationship was bad anyway and I was glad to get out.

No rather immature and you could put persons who's messenger you were using in an embarassing or unpleasant situation by what you say. When my kids get an IM , i say this is "mom , sorry but I will let them know you IM'd" Besides ,that person you are talking to not knowing that is you may say something about you that they really did not want you to know.
It is illegal to open someone elses mail, you should not snoop around someone elses computer either.

I have pretended to be made up people online plently of times before. It was just to see what it was like to be someone or something different. I never did anything serious with the pretend though. You run the risk of getting played online so always be careful with what you say.

When I first got internet (way back when) I would. It would make for a fun game to act like I was someone else. I would chat with ppl and my sister would come in and I would give the chat to her and leave. I did it for fun and amusement.

Oh yes I did the same sometime ago and the girl didn't know and she mentioned that she didn't like me and went on writing stuffs about me and telling my bf not to tell me, not knowomg she was chatting right with me, I felt kool and laughed about it.
