In my opinion we ALL you have the right to live anywhere in the World (obviously in the ideal one). However, I do think that some countries take immigration really far... What I mean with this is that they abuse, kill and discriminate people! I understand that some immigrants are desperate to run away from their countries... whatever the reason... In some cases, they run away from their countries because they are in war, they are in danger of dying from hunger, poverty or even discriminated by others in their own country.....

I respect everyone (even if others don't agree with me). Yes, there are good cases and bad cases of immigration.... but that is life.. Let's turn the coin and see how things would be the other way around....

Immigration is good for everyone when it is done in a controlled way to benefit both societies. The mess that is happening now which is bad for the receiving society it is like going back in time and asking the Mohican's what they think of Immigration.

No. Not all. We need certain professions to fill gaps in our job market, due to governments lack of foresight over the years, in engineering and medicine, for example.

Uncontrolled immigration however, is having a detrimental effect on our country, local communities, and services. Only now has the government woken up to this fact, and is trying to justified there actions by setting up another talking shop.

Difficult one. My heart says yes. My mind says no. It is sad but we now need to be very precise with who we allow in. Most have been nurses, builders and leisure workers. We should concentrate on the areas we are short of workers and only allow them in. The threatened influx of immigrants from Romania is frightening. They will only want something for nothing and we will be working to keep them. Blair has no guts so he will let them in. God help us when they arrive.

I am pro legal immigration. However, at this time of war, it needs to end until we can figure out who is here and who is trying to come here.

It depends on what you call immigration. As far as the laws and the money part of it.I think it needs to be completely done away with and restarted.I think spouse of Americans should not the visa to come here.I think others that would like to come here should be able to come also.Americans are free to go and visit most other countries with out a visa.then why shouldn't we allow them to come here also.Visa are not going to stop terrorist from coming to the USA.In fat there the one that have enough money to buy there way in .While others that are good people can not afford to pay for visas.Think about it .
As far as the government goes all there really after is the money that come from people who apply for the visa.In manila Philippines alone while setting there watching the US government over 100.000.00 for a day.And that is every day for just one country.

No, we don't....We need immigration for a healthy economy.....America is not overpopulated, contrary to popular belief....I think we should register all undocumented workers and allow them to stay and continue contributing to the economy....As far as legal immigration, we should continue having it....Also, secure the borders and quit fooling around!

PS there is a lot of hype and anti immigration sentiment going around, and it has to do with the mid terms elections, it will go away after the elections!
