Although I'm a none believer, I know that religions will never be banned, and anyone with half a brain and has see my Q's and A's on here would know I've never even held the bible in my hand, but I think that anyone immigrating into a country should change to that country's religious background, and no other religion preached in that country, and religion and politics should never be brought together as one.

Probably total and all out war from the religious nuts. They do insist that they are right and all try to force their views on others so they will not be happy! Look at the wars of the Crusades, the many wars between catholic and protestants. Christians simply cannot stop themselves from wars in God's name!!! Islam cannot even exist in peace on it's own with Shia and Sunni Muslims striving to kill each other.
Now if you could make religions disappear and their follows suffer total amnesia then peace really would have a chance!!

Banning religion would be as bad as people being forced to follow a religion. It's about personal choice. Once you start pushing your will upon another it defeats the purpose and only creates unhappiness.

I think one day the government will decree with the catholic church that everyone must worship on Sunday. The Sunday Law
They will say that we need to have unity concerning worship.
I think they are working now toward one religion, which they will say is to be the only one and the day of worship Sunday.
I think they are working toward a one world government too.
It will come to a time when people will have to choose to follow what the government sets up or stick to their beliefs and follow the bible and God. I think there will even come a time when those who continue to follow the bible & God will be persecuted and even killed here. I believe this will happen in the last days.
I believe you can find this in the book of Revelations.

I imagine they would find a way to operate secretly, away from any authority that would punish them if discovered. I'm sure this would only lead to further conflict due to religion, therefore the move would be pointless in itself.
I hate the whole idea of religion and hope it will eventually fade away with time - but banning it only encourages them further.

There would be a backlash from people who hold their superstitions closely. I do think it would be a good thing for religions to fade away. But you can't force this. You can try, but it works just about as well as trying to force religion on people. Education is really the best way to rid the world of religion, not government intervention.

Those who hold true beliefs and convictions would continue to practice their faith...they'd just do it underground. Many religious groups have suffered this sort of persecution in the past, and they're still around: Jews, Christians, Catholics (who are also Christians, but particularly under Cromwell, for example), and any other sect or group disliked by those in power at a certain time.

If they were banned they would likely only become stronger.
The followers of religions must be educated to drop their faith on their own and let these religions eventually die. Then, maybe, with the higher overall intellect of humanity... the Earth could be a paradise.

Religion will be banned? by whom exactly? blue eyes born again Christians and their boss the Jews? I don't think so. "One nation under God" ring a bell? Sunday is holiday ring a bell? Christmas holiday ring a bell? They will ban something but it won't be Christianity.

It will never happen to the full degree. Although there will be a time when governments will turn against religion.
