It's McDonald's. they don't do home delivery because how could they trust their underpayed employees to go deliver things? If I was making minimum wage and someone told me to go take this food all the way across town I think it'd be easy to get distracted. It would definitly not be a money maker. Plus the company would then have to worry about insurance on the drivers and paying them mileage. Then you'd also have the new problem of more complaints because people wouldn't get there in a decent amount of time, or the food would be too cold. So the customer would constantly be unhappy.

Well lets see, say you order a big mack combo meal for a cost of $5 to you and if your willing $1.50 delivery charge for a grand total of $6.50

Now lets look at the actual cost to deliver it.

Delivery time round trip 25minutes @ 7.50 hr = $3.12
Fuel @ 24mpg (this would depend on location but lest say $1.00
cost of producing the meal (33% of the $5.00) = $1.65

Total costs: $5.77 tour meal with a delivery charge $6.50 leaves a net of .73 cents

which does not cover the other costs below

Other costs:
Insurance
Vehicle maintenance
labor to prepare your meal

So you see with the low margins of there products they would not be able to stay in business very long if they delivered.

And don't say what about pizza. Product costs on the food is much lower for example: and average pizza delivery is around $20 for a large combo including pop. The actual cost for that product is about 12-15% depending on the toppings.

There you have it. More profit in pizza.

Hope this helps you!

McDonald's isn't that form of rapid-nutrients place, i don't think of. I recommend, think of if 0.5 or greater of their purchasers needed domicile deliveries, how lots gas that'd value, how busy that they had be, how lots greater team that they had desire-it will value lots. to not point out the certainty that they don't probable desire too, seeing that they have such lots of shops around, and it ought to be a waste.

I'll tell you step by step........suppose a family orders a meal...they'll just eat it and that would be that...
but if they'd actually come to a restaurant they'll spend more
They're children might begin to insist for an ice cream...and if they like their meal they might order another one.....when they spot a new deal they migt order that too....see?
