i'm stuck in school and i really need to be out there earning enough money for the things i really need in order for me to go to Basic Training next summer and i would really love to go and get B.T. done and over with. the sooner the better. if u know wat i mean. thank you very much. S. Lambert

talk to the recruiter and he might be able to help you but what i know that some branches of services and some Fields require a high school degree to limit yourself trust me i was in the marines and basic is a pain in the butt and yes you want it over but think long term stay in school get the degree and then go do your duty

YOU must finish the HS Education FIRST before you are entered into the Guard, Reserve, or Active Duty -- even a GED Can affect the MOS you are assigned in the Service. YOU need to talk to your HS Counselors -- as well as the recruiter to get current information.
Start Participating in your HS Education right now. It will soon enough be time to graduate, and the better your grades, and your ASVAB Scores will determine what MOSs you are offered in the military, and where you will be assigned. This is VERY IMPORTANT, because as a soldier YOU will be responsible for not only YOURSELF (and the Military Training is very expensive), but also your buddies and the Equipment you will have to use in your MOS. That is why you need that Diploma.

I wouldn't recommend joining the National Guard, but I got my GED and then ran my own business while I got my Baccalaureate and Master's degrees from Michigan State University. I now run a large company and will probably be getting my PhD. in economics. And I owe it all to the fact that I quit high school. High school sucks.

Stay in school.
A GED is no where near as good as a High School Diploma. I have a friend who found that out the hard way.

Things you need to go to basic training:
A towel
A pen
4 pairs of drawers
4 pairs of black socks
A notepad
You need 10 bucks? You may need 20 if you're flying to BMT and have to eat at an airport. Stay in school.

Irregarless of wanting out of H.S...... you have to be 18 to get your GED, stay in school!!!
