Is this a lie, since the Flying Spaghetti Monster plays with the needles when the Carbon Dating Machine tests the fossills of dinosaur bones?

Should we, instead, teach the children that there was no death till Adam and Eve sinned, and that the carbon dating is unreliable, since the Flying Spaghetti Monster, he playes with the needles on the machine, with His Noodly Appendage?

Serious question, put up or shut up creationists, what is the scientific objection you have to carbon dating that gives us results from different machines that Dinosaurs existed lived and died over 65 million years ago? The Bible is not scientific, I have a New King James Version right here that admits it is not the inherit word of God because there have been changes over time from the originals.

Put up or shut up, what is the specific scientific reason with the Carbon Dating Machines? Do you have any documentation, not "a friend told me he sent in a rock"?

Wow, someone is riled up. I think the big problem is that there are different levels of oxygen retained in the fossils making it hard to accurately pinpoint the age... the atmosphere was not always what it is today...
However, that's an atheists regurgitation of believed answers...

I'm sorry Jim, I just can't get over the mental picture of the FSM playing with the needles on the carbon dating machine with His Noodly Appendage.....

I remember reading somewhere that the machines aren't always accurate, and in fact they give a range of time rather than a specific date of origin.

No I think that it is truth as far as we know it.
We have scientific ways of measuring the age of something.
The carbon life test for example.
There are even more tests that can be made.

If you want to believe religious teaching that opposes the scientific proof, you are free to do so.

The religious have to put this thing at 6000 years because the math says so.
They don't take into account that it is only a synopsis.
Not a very detailed record.
And that they insist God's day is the same as our day.
God's day is whatever He wants it to be.
This is a argument that has been going on for a very long time and frankly I'm getting tired of it.

scientists will tell you that if carbon dating is only accurate back like a hundred thousand years or so... type in "carbon dating" on yahoo or something. this is one of the sites that came up for me.

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/nuclear/cardat.html

"Carbon-14 decays with a halflife of about 5730 years by the emission of an electron of energy 0.016 MeV. This changes the atomic number of the nucleus to 7, producing a nucleus of nitrogen-14. At equilibrium with the atmosphere, a gram of carbon shows an activity of about 15 decays per minute.

The low activity of the carbon-14 limits age determinations to the order of 50,000 years by counting techniques. That can be extended to perhaps 100,000 years by accelerator techniques for counting the carbon-14 concentration."

In a way it is brainwashing, it is a belife that dinosaurs lived 65 mya, it has never been proven since carbon dating is not reliable (even scientist admit it). it is more likly that dinosaurs have existed as long as we have, well thats wot new scientific research is saying.

check with any reputable scientist and he will tell you that if you have anything that was under water, it is impossible to tell the date on it because of the water being on it. has to be something not under water at any time to be accurate. Check the scientists and they will tell you. As for the bible not being true, why is it then that they have found evidence from all kinds of places that state word for word the exact rendering of what the bible says today? Why is it they are finding more evidence daily that the things spoken of in the bible, the places and times are all accurate to the letter? Seems to me it is about time you either put up or shut up.

i dont really get what your asking. however the bible doesnt say the age of the earth. the bible just says that god created the earth and everything in it in 7 days. however a day wasnt defined at the time and a day could have been millions of years. (think about it, a day is defined as the earths rotation on its axis, however "days" went by before the earth was even created?) its a symbolic statement to determine a set amount of time. this time could have been 100 yrs to a billion years.

No.But maybe this story is:

1-God is perfect but
2-God creates a Lucifer that defies him
3-God lets Lucifier enable man to defy god
4-Man is now so corrupt he must be sent out of the garden
5-All men now condemned to Hell
6-THEN,rather than just stop making men condemed to Hell,
God continues to make man as is,sin and all,and MUST send
a savior to convince man away from Hell.

Why doesnt god just make man without original sin IF he has the power to do it? See what I mean.

They will answer you: Bible is not a science book..

Seriously, religion people claiming evolution isn't scientifically proved and no more than unproved theories.
Coming with the story of (Fred & Welma)* I mean (Adam & Eve and the apple tree) in return.. Please!!!

Nice question..

I cannot weigh in on this one because I do not have any experience with carbon dating anything. I have only dated humans. LOL
