If all of your sarcastic comments were truly innocent and it's really all their fault for not being able to take a joke, then why are you posting this question at all? Could it be that maybe you DO care that maybe you're hurting someones feelings? Think about it.
On second thought, I think that ramming sarcasim down someone's throat when their least expecting it is totally justified. (sarcasim) :D

If your comments and jokes are insulting because
they put down ethic people I can see why people
get mad. There's a difference between a good joke that makes people laugh and a comment/joke that
insults peoples beliefs or ethnic background. Try
some other kinds of jokes and see what kind of response you get.

That's OK sweetie...everybody goes thru their sarcastic stage in life. You'll look back at yourself one day and wonder why you acted such a fool for so long. Anyways, I think the best thing to do is to find people who appreciate your sense of humor. It can't be fun to share your style with people who don't seem to enjoy it. :)

Sounds like your father wanted a son, in all actuality. Maybe you tried to impress him at some point and he just gave you the "blah" look; so, you've been acting like a SHlThead ever since.

depends on how well you know them... if you've been friends for a while then it's usually okay... if you don't know the person, they will not appreciate smart *** comments -- and if they are total strangers then what did you expect?

Well nowadays, people like to get serious but I don't. I like being an annoyance to my siblings.
