I have a Canon ZR 500 Digital Video Camera, and I would like to upload some tapes that I have on to my computer to edit with iMovie. What type of cord/cable do I need to do that, and where can I get it?

The ZR 500 is firewire out for digital video capture. You need a firewire cable if one didn't come with your camera. You can get them at any electronics store e.g. The Apple Store, Best Buy, CompUSA, Staples, etc. To save trips back and forth to the store check your owners manual or tell the salesperson it's for connecting your ZR 500 to your computer. There are two different sizes of firewire connector so you want to make sure it's properly sized for both your camera and computer! Follow the iMovie help to work out any random kinks that may pop up.

I would think either a USB or Firewire cable. The manual for your camera should tell you. You can order cables through MacZone.com or Apple, since I assume you have a Mac.
