I found a tour for $66 dollars that includes round trip transportation, admission to the rainforest and a stop at nearby Luquillo beach. Can it be done cheaper?

YES IT CAN BE DONE CHEAPER IF YOU RENT A CAR FROM CHARLIE'S (A LOCAL COMPANY WITH REALLY GOOD RATES) AS IT IS FREE TO TOUR THE RAIN FOREST. TAKE THE TRAIL TO LA MINA FALLS AND THE MT. BRITTON TRAIL. ALL TRAILS ARE VERY WELL MARKED AND MOST PEOPLE TAKE THE SELF GUIDED TOUR. HAVING A CAR IS THE MOST INEXPENSIVE TO EXPLORE PUERTO RICO. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY YOU RENTED ONE.

I just got home from Puerto Rico. I went on a tour out of the
(El San Juan hotel) that is very similar to the tour you found. It was one of the coolest things I did while I was on that part of the Island!! The guide/driver was really nice and the trip was full of info about the island and it's history. The cost was around sixty five or so dollars. You might find a cheaper price but you definitely get what you pay for. It was definitely money well spent. say hi to the coqui for me...

it really is unquestionably an journey which could be taken formerly you die. The rainforest is proper. The parrots, the coquis, the panorama and the view are all breathtaking. in the course of the hike, be particular you end on the Mt. Britton tower as you get an excellent view of the island. Then proceed on the spur in the direction of the right of El Yunque. on the descent (as well as formerly) end on the falls for a fresh dip and spray. l. a. Mina and l. a. Coco are remarkable. yet to ultimately relish your holiday, end on the Portal middle on your way up for a touch heritage on the rainforest and also you'll understand why the community Tainos (Arawacks) powerful this land. end your day at Luquillo coastline which grants an staggering view of El Yunque and also you'll extremely delight in how a ways contained in the sky you've been and how proper the rainforest and the entire island extremely is.

Hahahaha admission to El Yunque! That is the funniest thing I've ever heard. Unless the aliens and the chupacabra are now charging a cover.

That is a rip off!! Don't book tours online. Wait until you get to the Island, you'll find a lot more things to do for way less.

Well the truth is the price is pretty good and believe me the trip to the ynque alone is worth every penny and to add Luquillo beach even better. Advice take a cam you will want to take lots of pics. Remember its a rain forest so it might be moggy but its so peaceful and beautiful you wont even mind. Oh take some "off" or any other insect repellent. I go as much as I can, it's kinda like my sacred spot, great for meditation and such. And the beach is to die for!! Enjoy your trip back in Puertorican history.

I think is to expensive but the Yunque is amazing. Is one of the most beautiful places you'll see in your life. You can find the trip a little bit cheaper but I don't promise you anything. If you go to the beach go to the little shops of food and ask for a bacalaito and a Pina Colada. Believe I'm a puertorrican. You'll love it.

el yunque is a very nice place, but luquillo is so,so. there are other beaches west and south of the island that are much nicer. even in fajardo or culebra. rent a car and go out west.
