When you exercisie and burn calories, you cannot pick and choose where the fat comes off. The fat melts off gradually from your entire body as you burn more calories over time. You can choose to tone or strengthen certain muscles by weight lifting or doing certain exercises, but it will not necessarily get rid of the fat above that muscle. Cycling, walking, running, rollerblading, and swimming are all good forms of exercise you can do. As long as you make exercise a routine throughout the week the pounds will come off gradually. toning the muscles in the area you want to lose will help too because you will see more toning and feel muscle under there.

I have learned that there is no way to target fat. Just target muscle development. I gain weight in my face, but it is also the first place I loose it. The only way to have an unflabby stomach is to keep working effectively!

if you want to lose fat around your waist you will have to combine cardio ex with muscle building ex AND with a healthy diet. Bicycling is a good cardio ex but jogging is better...BUT that is not enough...you have to do as many sit ups as you can daily!
