I bring him outside right after eating, and he craps. I take him for a walk, and he craps. Then I bring him into the hosue, and as soon as I turn my back, he craps again. If I leave him outside, he wimpers and cries. He is a 17 week old American Eskimo/Papillian cross. He goes to the door when he has to pee, but still thinks crapping in the house is ok. How do I get him to stop, Thanks

We used to feed Walmart brand dog food. Holy Smokes! You should have seen the crap we had around here! I have 4 outside dogs, 2 Great Pyrs and 2 Border Collies. I switched to Diamond dog food and the crap piles were down by at least half. Now I feed a raw food diet based on raw meaty bones, meat and organs to my dogs and their craps are even smaller. Do some research on raw diets for dogs and you will find ALLOT of info on the web.
Essentially, the answer to your question is to feed your dog the highest quality diet you can afford. Dogs don't need grain products and cheap dog food is LOOOAAADDDEEDD with them. They are what make for so many crap piles.
Believe me, your dog will appreciate having a better diet. I'm sure he doesn't like having to crap that much, either!!
Oh, and he's only 17 weeks old. Give him a break! He will figure out that pooping in the house isn't acceptable but he's still a pup. Make sure you use an enzyme pet odor cleaner on the poop spots so that he isn't drawn back to the same spots. Natures Miracle is GREAT but can be a pain to find if you live out in the boonies like I do. I have to order it off the internet.
Good luck and give Fido a scratch behind the ear from the Crazy Lady!

Son x mom isn't an excellent difficulty. you ought to ultimately finally end up with deformities. Hair lip, cleft palate are some actual actual deformities which will render the domestic dog/s a lack of existence sentence as well. diverse close genetic themes received't be actual glaring yet none the plenty a lot less notwithstanding have a grave outcome on the domestic dog/s well being both at initiate or later down the music, probably in a million or 2 or perhaps 4 years time. Inbreeding is a actual difficulty with dogs and at your time, quicker or later no matter if it truly is this technologies you're breeding or the subsequent technologies from the offspring that ought to professional-create, the genes are too close and it is going to go back out. Ring your vet, tell them she is in warm temperature and must have mated and likewise you want her spayed because of close genetic relationship of the kin dogs. they could and ought to do the technique.

Well start by making sure you're feeding a high quality food - high quality = less waste = less poo. Try Canidae or Innova brand...

Then, work on the housetraining - the puppy should not be out of your sight until he is reliably housetrained. You need to catch him in the act, when he starts sniffing the carpet with that intent look, and moves in for the squat.... a sharp "NO" and scoot him outside to poo. When he does, praise him a lot and gives treats. If you praise him for going outside, he will keep doing it (better than in your house)!

First off, change his food to something of better quality like Nutro or Natural Balance or something of the like. I personally like Nutro because of a lot reasons, one of which because it's a holistic food and dogs generally eat less and poop less because their body uses more of the food instead of letting it out.

As for what you can do about the pooping in the house...crate train him. Also, pay more attention to what he does right before he uses the bathroom. If you see him whimpering, circling, sniffing more than usual, etc. then bring him outside ASAP. If you need help keeping him in sight, tether him to your beltloop with his leash or restrict his access to the house to only one or two rooms with baby gates.

Watch him carefully. One of my dogs will come and paw at me but my other one will just sit and stare at me until I notice her. Sometimes I don't notice her and she'll go in the other room and use the bathroom. My friend's dog will go to the back door and stare at the door crack. Some dogs don't necessarily make noise when they have to go.

Okay, so I counted 3 "craps." How many times is he actually defecating a day? If he is going ten times a day, that's a lot. You probably need to feed him less or a higher quality food. If he is going up to about six times a day, welcome to the world of puppy ownership! Pups don't have strong muscle control so need to eliminate more frequently. Watch him closely or confine him to prevent accidents.

Dogs like to follow the direction of their master. You should start taking craps outside where you want the dog to go and follow your example. don't worry about the neighbors staring. If they give you a hard time just crap on their patio and they will leave you alone after that.

Make sure he doesn't eat a whole wheel of cheese and then doesn't poop in the refrigerator.

Or bring him outside a lot and wait for him to crap.

A dog's system works on a food in, food out basis. If you are free feeding, you will see more waste than if you feed one meal a day.
