Children are all different. Baby talk at two is nothing to be concerned about. If she is still doing this at three years, discuss it with your doctor but I'm betting you won't have to.

By age 2 1/2, the average child has a vocabulary of about 600 words, by age 5 or 6 that number rises to about 15,000 words, an increase of 10 words a day. By 3 years of age, most children have all the basic tools needed to form sentences and make conversation. Most 18 to 20 month olds will use 1 and 2 word sentences. By 24 months, the longest sentences include 4 and 5 words. By 30 months, sentence length will double again. Every child is different and will develop at different rates. Sometimes parents will use baby talk with their children which is wrong. If you read alot to them, label everything, repeat, tell stories and use clear speaking words, then it helps to increase their language complexity. Don't worry, she will catch up. My son is 4 and can already read a few words but put him on a bike and he gets frustrated and clumsy. One thing that works for us is lots of reading. Good luck.

as early as 8 months babies can say Momma or Dadda however don't really start to talk until about age 2. They will start forming sentences together however may not do that until the age of 3. If you are concerned, you can see your dr and get a referral to a speech therapist. My nephew is seeing one as he also talked like a baby until he was 4 and now is doing much better!
I would also recommend don't comparing your daughter with other children (although it is hard) as every child develops at his/her own rate!

Every child is different. My daughter who is 5 now was talking in perfect sentences by 2, my son who is 2 now is quite difficult to understand at times. All you can do is keep talking to her as much as you can, read to her and she will get there. She is normal for her age, some children just pick things up quicker.

Don't worry and try not to compare with others (I know its hard). It all depends on the child. Some can talk great at two and others closer to three. Just check with your doctor to ease your mind a little. Be patient and work as much with your child as you can, but try not to pressure because you will stress out.
