My whole family loves this stuff...I'm not sure what it's called, but I found it in a cookbook a long time ago....
You'll need:
2 cans of Pillsbury Crescent rolls
1 lb ground beef
1 can diced tomatoes
1 cup grated cheddar or marble cheese
2 medium diced onions
chili powder (I like it spicy, so I usually use at least a few tablespoons of it)
salt & pepper to taste
Preheat your oven to 350.
Open the can of tomatoes and let drain while you do the next step.
Put the ground beef and onions into a pan and fry them until cooked. Drain the excess oil out of the onion/beef mixture, and put back in the frying pan and mix with the chili powder, salt and pepper. Add a tablespoon of flour and mix until you can't see it. Put the tomatoes in the pan and mix it all together. Set aside to cool a bit.
In a big, oiled casserole dish, take the crescent rolls apart, and put them in a large pin-wheel shape (I usually keep one to the side to fill gaps as needed). Pile the meat mixture in the centre of the pinwheel and put the cheese on top. Now carefully wrap the ends of the "pinwheel" up and over the meat and cheese. You should end up not being able to see the meat or cheese, just the crescents in a half-sphere shape. You can seal the edges of the crescents together by pinching them or brush a little bit of water on one piece and stick another one to it.
Bake for at least 15 minutes until the crescents are cooked and crispy on the outside. If you let it cool for a few minutes before cutting, you should be able to cut it into pie-shaped pieces to serve. We usually have it with a taco salad.
Mmmmm...I think I'll make this for dinner tonight - I haven't had it for a while!

try this one.
take some boneless chicken breasts.
and some jalapenos.
split the jalapenos in half lengthwise.
carve out the seeds.
place a little cube of chicken breast in the jalapeno
wrap with a 1/3rd length slice of bacon. and secure with tooth pick.
grill over charcoal or your favorite wook, hickory or mesquite or whatever.
perhaps dust lightly with a little pepper and or salt before grilling.
about 3-4 minutes per side, just make sure the chicken is done.
remove and serve.
you can have some pico de gallo or some salsa handy to dip with
try some dirty rice (mexican) or cajun rice on the side along with your favorite veggie.
its mostly low fat, low cholesterol. spicy, tasty, not too hot if you have just regular jalapenos.
you can replace them with bell peppers if you like. just cut them appropriately to wrap the chicken bits in.
