Just because you dont agree with the war doesnt meen that you dont support troops.... I am anti war, and I know many people who are in the army, and I totaly suport them. I think it is ignorant to say that you have to support a war or you are helping the enemy. Just because a bunch of fools wanted to go to war to earn a profit, it doesnt mean you have to support it! Many of the troops themselves dont believe in what they are doing...... its just their job, they must follow orders.....

This is republican propaganda. Not at all true. Ask any service person who has lived with war and come home.
read about viet nam, all this has been said before.
I just talked with a service person in Iraq, they could care less about what is said in America, they are only concerned with not getting killed today. They know the truth, war is hell on Earth, war is about killing before you are killed. Same as Nam, no different.
This is fact, same as Nam. No terrorist on Earth would face our marines, they are all cowards, they do the dirty work behind our backs. A terrorist would not even face the average American in a fair fight to the death. We now have over 19,000 wounded and 2650 dead brave Americans in Iraq, Bin Laden is in Afghanistan not Iraq and his Al Quaida terrorist are still doing the dirty work behind our backs all over the world. BTW, it is also Republican propaganda that we are fighting in Iraq for "freedom". Iraq is in civil war now and that will last ten years. In the end no matter what we do in Iraq the big winner is Iran, they will control Iraq in the end. Iraqis hate Democracy, they always have, they prefer a "islamic republic form of Government just like Iran.

Part of the strategy of Al Quaeda is to win over the Western Press and destroy the will of the American people to continue fighting the war. The letters from Ayman Zawahiri concur that they are very concerned about how they are portrayed in the Western Media (re: beheading), as their goal is to get the American people to force their government to withdraw. They understand they must win in Iraq and the way to do that is to undermine the will of the American people. If you recall Bin Laden has stated that he believed the US had no will to fight, as they withdrew almost immediately from Somalia when things went wrong.

If soldiers in Iraq feel like their own country isn't backing them up, why should they stay motivated to continue fighting? We might not all agree with it, but from a soldier's perspective, we all need to support the troops who are fighting for our freedom.

Anti-war = Terrorist. See how simple that makes everything? There is no need to even ask why or who is benefitting or is America in violation of Charters and treaties it signed (and in many cases advocated)? You don't need to think about the lies. You don't need to look beyond the "happy news" the nation's stenographers (sorry, I meant media) hand feed us.
Just repeat as often as is necessary: Anti-War = Terrorists

The anti-war vibes somehow make it all the way over the Iraq and miraculously give those fighting our soldiers superhuman abilities to find and kill our soldiers.

An enemy that is psychologically broken down and has no hope whatsoever for an impending victory is hopeless and easily defeated.
An enemy who senses a discord in the enemy camp and gets constant information that the enemy is not resolved or united in the effort to win will continue their murder and mayhem tactics, fully confident that, sooner or later, the enemy will cut and run.
The anti-war movement in this country is doing more to extend this war and encourage the Islamic terrorists than if we were indeed giving guns to AlQaeda or poisoning canteens.

The idea is that if people at home don't support a war, the soldiers who are fighting it will have low morale. Low morale can be a big factor when a soldier is risking their life. If morale is low, a soldier will fight far less effectively than they could.
I am not sure how bad it is in Iraq as far as morale goes, but in Vietnam this was a huge issue.

I do think you can be against the war.....however....everyone here has already said what i beleive....The press needs to show more of the good coming out of this....like when it is over a group of people will have freedom and not have to worry about their Pres. uning biological weapons on them....The terrost want what we are doing....a divided country....no support for what is going on...that just makes them stronger. and gives them more hope that sooner or later we will just leave....that is why I am glad Bush has not listend to the people who say we should just pull out and leave...that will make them give them what they want...and make things even worse....you don't have to agree with the war but support our troops and this country.

Beats me. Just because you feel the US shouldn't be in Iraq doesn't mean we support terrorism. The terrorist are in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and SAUDI ARABIA, etc, etc.
Trust me, Al Queda is NOT looking at antiwar protests thinking: See, they are on our side. HONESTLY.
What do PRO IRAQ war people say to soldiers who have done more that one tour of duty who think the war is bogus. Are they puss*es too for not simply dying for you. AND why don't you go to f-ing Iraq if its such a righteous war????
Grow up America, we are allowed to feel differently about EVERYTHING INVOLVING OUR COUNTRY!!!!!
