My daughter had one on her eye. Once we were in the store and a woman came up to me and said "Did you punch your baby in the eye?" and of course I had to explain that it was a "stork bite" so she wouldn't call the cops on me.
It faded by the time she was three. She also had one on the back of her neck which also faded.
So just be patient.
One thing is that whenever daughter is running a temp, you can see the birthmark. Even today and she is almost 20. Very convenient!

My granddaughter has one right under her right eye. Her Mom had one on her arm. The one on my daughters arm went away by the time she was about 12 years old. My granddaughter's under her eye is still there after teh pediatrician trying steriod injections. It will have to wait untiil she is older to operate due to location to the eye.

my daughter also had a raised hemangioma on her forhead the dr told me it would shrink and fade. it did by the time she was three it was completely gone. i would check with your dr if there are different types and see if this could be the type that will shrink and fade. good luck

depends on how big it is and how much its growing. They generally wait until a child is older to surgically remove hemagiomas. Talk to a pediatrician.
