I don't think he's ready to potty train at one- they can't really hold their little bladder. One sign I know of is if he is waking up dry in the morning or not? If not, it's just something he learned he can do, but if you really think he is ready, try this:
Here it is- it has worked for my 2 kids, and others after I tell them........
1. get m and m's handy
2. get a small potty chair
3. get a couple books about potty
4. you need to be home for about 4-5 days straight
5. now you can start. let them run around bare-but
6. Set the timer for 1/2 hour. Tell him/her to sit on the potty for 5 min. (read them a book in the mean time if it's to long for them.) If they go, give lots and lots of praise!!! I mean go crazy!! Give them about 3 m and m's.
7. Set the timer for 1/2 hour
8. Avoid asking the question "you got to go potty?'
9. Timer goes off- ok! What does that mean junior? Time to go potty again he or she would say, or you say it if they don't
10. repeat process all day long. If they go # 2 in the potty, reward with a handful of m and m's. They are very colorful and kids love them!!
11. Praise praise praise. I do spank my kids for behavior problems such as lying, disobedience, and bad attitudes, but never for having an accident. If there is an accident, clean it up queitly, and don't say much at all. Remind them it's ok, but try to make it in the potty next time, or in your own words.
Good luck!!! Hope this helps you. My girl was potty-trained in two days with the method. Took my 2 1/2 year old son a week. Leave pull-ups on them at night just in case.
p.s. if this doen't work at all, try again in a few months.

My toddler did this too at 1 year old but I have a girl they say it is easier to potty train a boy. Honestly I think it is the repetition that amuses them and watching you go insane cuz you have to bend over ever 5 minutes to put his diaper back on. My girl is now 2 and she wants to wear panties but she dont go to the toilet until after she pees. So I know shes not completely ready yet but soon will be. When he takes you to the toilet and actually shows interest then i would start training. Dont rush cuz they dont like that if you want them too bad they wont...found that out with my 3 year old

Definately! If she is working around, drowsing on your mattress and realizes the version, it's time for an improve. toddler beds are not far off of the floor so in simple terms fold a thick blanket in 0.5 and place it on the floor in case she does fall off for the duration of the night. And ask her if she needs one. She ought to have the capacity to assist you to already know 'specific' or 'no'. make advantageous she is worked up to get it earlier you do or she will possibly no longer purely like the exchange in view that a crib is all she is hardship-free with of. in case you circulate away her interior the crib, whether, it is not a huge deal. perhaps you do not have the money to purchase a mattress precise now or do exactly no longer decide for to handle it. some cribs may even rework into toddler beds, it is extreme-high quality. the two way, she'll be advantageous.

My son was over three years old and would not use the potty. So I took him to the supermarket and let him pick the pull-up pampers with the character of his choice on it and told him that these pampers where only meant for the BIG BOYS and that he could only wear them if he was going to start using the potty. Took him about a week but he started to use the potty :)

thats not a sign.its a control and anooy mom thing. all babies do this put a snap shirt on him. like a onsie. the signs of potty training readiness are staying dry for more than 2 hours. waking up dry after a nap. sitting on a potty chair un clothed for a minute or longer. able to tell you they are wet or soiled. able to tell you they need to go. a one year old cant . they have no muscle control down there

He is ready.they will also start to tell you when they have poo pooed or pee peed.Start by taking him to the potty first thing in the morning and just before bed, then gradually begin taking him throughout the day, then start asking if he has to go potty, the answer might be NO for awhile, but take him anyway and ask him to try.Remember to make a big deal about it when he actually uses it.This will encourage him to do it more often.Tell him how proud you are of him and that he is a big boy.
