my boyfriend doesnt open up that much when sober but when drunk he says things like "im so in love with you and ive never said that to ne1 and i love everything about you" he doesnt say that when he's sober-he's never said i love you. he says he is nervous when sober and when he's drunk he can tell me how he really feels. is he just being stupid drunk and rambling about things he doesnt mean??????

It's your lucky day. The only problem you have is he doesn't open up that much when sober.
There is a saying, a drunk person doesn't lie.
When your boyfriend gets loaded, it relaxes him and he feels free to say what is on his mind and when he tells you all those good things, eat em up, as they are all as true as true can get.
He sounds like a very honest person and what he is telling you about being nervous when sober and when drunk, can tell you how he really feels, is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
If that is the only problem you have, you are a very fortunate lady.
Just beware of your girlfriends trying to help out by proclaiming that he, like all men, are habitual liars. There is a possibility that they may envy you and not wish to see you happy, when they are not. Misery loves company.

Both. I think that if he is saying something that serious, he prolly does mean something by it, but I think that his feelings are way stronger and able to communicate better when he is drunk. I wouldnt feel hurt by this just for the fact that he is not doing it to be mean or to make you think things that are not true, he is doing it because he is scared to say it when he is sober. If he didnt mean it in some way, shape, or form he wouldnt say it at all, DRUNK OR SOBER.

when u r drunk , or drinking, I believe that your true feelings DO come out. its just when he is sober he is shy. That is ok, unless he is just saying I love you to get in your pants. How long have u been with him? Good luck!!

Everyone tells the truth when there drunk. I think your boyfriend has confidence issues. He probably really does love you, just give him some time to come out of his shell, don't try and get it out of him!! Try dropping hints to him about how you feel, it might help? I would really just give him time though, and you'll soon get your answer!

It's a myth that we speak the truth when we are intoxicated. Our thoughts are intoxicated. See the word TOXIC in inTOXICated?
It means poison. When he's drunk he's less inhibited so he'll say anything, truth, lies,charm, crap, etc.
Drunk talk is just that. Drunk Talk.

when hes drunk, its the liquor that's talking, most of the time he wont even remember what he said so whether he said i love you, or i hate you...dont take it personal....if he cant say it when he is sober....it doesnt count.

people who rant when they drink are telling the truth. a drunk speaks his sober thought because they're usually chickenshits who find courage in that bottle.

some ppl mixed with alcohol has different reactions,..lol!! It brings out the honesty in some, very true. Others just say whatever the alcohol tells them to at the time. not much help, but true.
