Ok this girl i like sent me and email, replying to mine on asking her how she felt about me..heres what it said
hey,
well first of all, I don't hate you. second, I haven't been avoiding you either becuase its not been just swimming that I've been busy with its been life.I also haven't been beating around the bush because you never asked me if I did or not. But I haven't ever thought of being more than friends with you because we've always been good friends and I think thats how things should stay.I just don't want to ruin a friendship.hope you've had a good day, and i will talk to you later

Now shes 13, and I'm 15. She used to be all over me, but then backed off. Her and her mom are really close, and her mom told me she want me to date her daughter, she said that she is just really scared of ruining the friendship. Now based on this email, do you think she is just scared, or do you think she is letting me down easy? What should i do,

Be friends with her for a while... You are still young, you'll come across plenty of girls in your path of life.

She's 13 for goodness sakes.....a child and maybe a smart child...smarter than her mother? She knows she's out of her depth and really likes you...but as friends...she's not ready for kissing and all that dating stuff.

She's not letting you down at all...except for kissy stuff or whatever else she feels is just too much for a kid, she's just scared about what she's letting herself in for. Puppylove does not match a 15 yr old guys hormones at all.

Just treat her normally (and respect her as you would a toddler who came over to hug someone they liked) or talk to her as a guy friend rather than anything lovey....absolutely no sexual stuff. Ignore her mom....who is silly pushing ideas upon you about someone who has just become a teenager. What the hell is she thinking except how to act like her daughters best friend instead of her parent...to preserve her own youth?

First of all 13 is very young and her mother had no right to say to you date my daughter only chaparral. But this 13 might want something else to do beside date at such an early age, and by her e-mail she wants to be free of you and your demands

He might be afraid of what people will think of him for liking a girl so much younger than he is - like maybe they'll think that he must be immature. At your guys age, 3 years can be a big difference.

I've seen this kind of letter, this kind of msg. so as it happens to my life as well, most of us (boy) confused, because we wonder.. the girl likes me? frankly, actually we have known the answer, yea true. ask ur heart, the answer comes from ur heart, don't fool urself, if u think that's the answer, based on ur instinct that's it. That's based on my personal experience. Clear ur mind, and look at it, it is just simple. just ur mind confused u. U heart will tell u the truth.
