Hi, when you diet to reach the normal BMI, why is it that you still feel fat, i know some people say you have to accept the fact that you will never be skinny, but i think it is. If you take Nicole Richie for example, i know she went to far with her weight loss and looks horrid, but she was average weight and people say when you get this weight you will never be skinny, but she has proved you can be so why do they tell us this, Or is it just the fact to get that way we have to eat nothing at all.

Basically to look like those girls they did eat nothing at all, or snorted alot of coke. They also went through alot of mental anguish and depression most likely to become that. There is no way someone can be fully healthy if they aren't mentally happy. Society and culture have shown us unhealthy images and we have internalized that as what we want. Please tell me you don't want to live obsessing about calories, looks, and feeling negative thoughts about yourself just so you can fit TV's standard. Think back to years ago before we had TV or cared about celebrities. Do you think the anorexia rate was nearly as high? No. It wasn't. There may have been some cases but it is proven that girls who are constantly watching these images on tv or in magazine have much higher rates of self dislike and anorexia. I have been there and felt the same way you do. But you don't want to give up your life and happiness to something that doesn't matter. Being healthy matters. Being happy matters. Focus on making yourself happy and turn off the tv for a week and see how much better you feel. Hope this helps
peace

i have dieted down to 150 pounds from 170 pounds and despairinlgly although my body is starting to look too thin my stomach is still bulging-at this point i am going to reread your question to see if i can really grasp what you are getting at.
first point is that excess carbohydrate deprivation will deprive your body of serotonin and you may feel depressed because of this;an atkins type approach to cutting out carbs such as bread and potatoes will produce rapid weight loss but with the side effect of lowering serotonin which is a brain neurotransmitter responsible for feeling happy so if you achieved the normal bmi this way go back to the drawing board and rebalance the diet by reintroducing limited carbs-but what i think is happening to both of us is a combination of exhaustion due to trying too hard to achieve an unobtainable body shape, possible blloatedness and acidity due to introducing new food types;you may well be mentally exhausted due to worrying about diet and shape all the time;i know i am but i have no choice as i relaxed a little figure as seccret ;most men like the bigger girl.what i am getting to is that both of us have been too absorbed in the weight problem and shape and are now flirting wiht the deadly mental illness of anorexia which is now starting to claim male victims as well
the question of targeting weight loss on a particular area is the basis of the rosemary conley books and whether you can spot reduce is a very hotly debated issue..the reason why most women are overweight is because they dont know how nuitriton works;never skip breakfast as it makes you put on weight and increase your income of good food to lose weight
if you insist on carrying read all round the subject-see michael van straten's website, introduce the correct changes slowly and make it part of a sustainale lifestyle-see my answers in the diabetic lifestyle-every now and then back off to check you are not getting immersed in the problem-see my diabetes section for ideas on diet
you are drifting into very dangerous territory-keep in touch
both you and i need to develop a slightly more rounded approach if you pardin the saying to the problejm and to understan d that a relationship is much more of a package
for me as a male i now have to draw the diet tighter and to tighten the stomach muscles to flatten them;to answer your quetion i read somewhere that a body is always trying to return to its maximum size and hte condition that nicole is suffering from is called body dismorphia where she has a mentally distorted image of her figure
i am struggling to find the words toexplain to you that we all have togrow up and aspiring to a child's shape is a childish thing
as you have indicated to force your body below the point that genetics and nuitrition have determined you have to cheat the system and her appearance indicated how wring this is in terms of general health-look at say jamaican sprinters theyare big muscly healthy
be sensible

umm... wow. you come to think of yourself as fat; that's why you're on a diet in the first place. unfortunately, that feeling becomes a part of you, so as you lose the weight, the feeling of thinking you're fat sicks around. this is what leads to anorexia. and yes, anorexia is most likely the cause of someone being really skinny, especially after being overweight.
besides, trust me, you don't want to be really skinny. average is much healthier.
there are certain foods that can speed up your metabolism. one day i'll find out which and i'll post them on here for you.
okay: spices, low fat high protein meats, got you a link.

Forget what "they" say. Of course it is possible, but I wouldn´t feel good, if I look like someone else! You should be so thin or fat how you like and how you feel good. And eating nothing will never ever have an effect on your weight. The only way do shape is to do sports.
