For specifications of Almonds in shell, one item is "Yiel". What it does mean?

it means taht 70% of the weight is almonds the other 30% are hulls

when you look up the yiield for foods you will see a pair of abbreviations: AP and EP
AP stands for "as purchased"
EP stands for "edible portion
In your partcular case if you purchased 16oz of almonds in shell AP you would have an EP portion of 70% of that or 11.2oz.
