Pretzels can be healthy when eaten according to the instructions on the packet. However to someone who is not properly trained in the operation of eating pretzels they can be deadly.
In 2001 our own President Bush nearly choked to death eating a pretzel.
For the love of God, read the instructions before you start.

I would say it is better than most snacks such as chips and candy. That really is not good for you. Just watch the amount you consume. Too much of a good thing can have negative results. However, the cons are the salt and what most people dip them in - such as cheese, etc.
A pretzel is a baked snack that is ordinarily twisted into a unique knot-like shape. The pretzel is usually made from wheat flour with yeast; the dough is briefly dipped in lye water before baking, and usually salted. Some pretzels are even noted to have powdered sugar sprinkled on. I say if you're going to eat a pretzel eat a whole grain or whole wheat pretzel with fruit or protein as a balanced snack. You must also be aware of the sodium content. The problem with the other pretzels is that they are made of white flour which has no nutritional value and is therefore unhealthy.

Pretzels are a better option that chips of course, however have a lott of sodium. Salt-free pretzels are better for you, however are still starch which isn't the best. Small portions would be fine.

I think pretzels and popcorn are the two best salty snacks you can consume. Much better than fried cheese curls, potato chips, corn chips and pork rinds! -RKO-

They are low fat and fairly low calorie, but they are made from bleached flour. That's not real good for you. YOu should get your starchy carbs from whole grained products.

Better than potato chips. As long as you're not on a low-salt diet.
