I'm a pet sitter. I wouldn't suggest bringing your dog with you if you become a petsitter. You never know how the other animals are going to react to your dog coming onto their territory and you being the only person there may not be able to stop the fight.

I brought my toy poodle with me on a job once to a house with a very friendly Golden Retriever and the Golden Retriever stood at the front gate growling at my dog. Usually both dogs get along with any other dog, but since this was a new dog coming onto the Golden's territory she would NOT have it. She wouldn't even let me walk in the gate holding my dog. I had to bring my dog home and then go back to take care of the Golden.

Vets office, Dog Grooming place, farm, Park/Recreation area. All these places have jobs where other dogs are prone to be or outdoors where they may not mind an animal to tag along.

Become a dog walker
You charge rich and lazy people for walking their dogs and your dog meets lots of new friends

It is people like you that make it possible for dog walkers and puppy sitters to be able to file W2's every year...

And they make MORE than you do too... That's the discusting part!

There... is the irony, the insult and the answer all in the same carefully wrapped package. (I'm good like that.}

Now run with it...

become a registered dog trainer for dogs for the blind and handicapped.
then, you can take your dogs in training to pretty much any job site b/c of the necessity for them to be in the workplace etc.....

i used to manage at a wal-mart and we had a girl that worked nights and she had a seeing-eye dog named "jake". he was awesome and he had his own wal-mart vest and name tag:)

once he settles down, some employers will let you take your dog in, but it's a case-by-case basis...my inlaws allow dogs at their business(toner cartridge rebuilding),but I wouldn't take my 1&2 year old labs there
