If we assume the universe was created, then it’s reasonable to assume there was a creator. That’s as far as science has progressed today, but just look how far religion has progressed.
Religion states (fact) there was a creator called God, that God still exists, God also created places called Heaven & Hell, God wrote an instruction book called the Bible, God will banish evil people to Hell, God will send good people who follow the Bible to heaven, that people referred to in the Bible (like Jesus) will return to Earth, and a whole raft of other statements of fact. That’s right, religious fact, not assumptions. Sadly, it sounds more like mental illness.
The Bible is the biggest load of garbage and codswallop ever written by man, and I’m sure it will go down in history as the greatest load of gobbledygook ever to inflict such traumatic mental and physical damage on humanity, but still today, some people sadly believe the Bible to be true. That’s very sad indeed. Very sad.

I'm no bible thumper...been there, done that, ain't goin' back. However, there are some basic ideals in the bible that are very useful and helpful to everyone. Don't covet thy neighbors wife (or hubby), thou shall not kill, etc. The rest...well, men want to control everything, the bible is a tool they have used successfully for many years to do that. But its only one tool. Many different religions use their writings as a tool to control the masses, often women in particular.
Whatever. As long as there are those who ask the question "why" we will be ok.
Personally, I believe that a persons choice of religion should make them happy and a better person (not better than everyone else, simply improve things about themselves). If they are not happy, maybe they picked the wrong one. My MIL is a living example of someone who is miserable but wont ever consider her religion as one of the causes...even though her children and her husband all refuse to follow her particular self righteous bible thumping path.

Man why is it so hard for people to see that the Bible is the best thing in the World to ever be written.
If you don't believe in God or the Bible then i feel bad for you becuase when God comes to save all the people who had His side will live and Eternal life. The Bible isn't afek at all and yes ther are millinos of people who still beleive in God. They are the ones who will go to Heaven. Not people like you who are so stubborn and can't realize that they are wrong and that God is real. Just look at the website : home.surewest.net/dfrench/evidence/prophecy. And if even then your not convince then im sorry for you. You'll jst go straight to Hell with all the others who don't beleive in God. There are soo many prophecies that God said were going to happen more than thousands of years before the other disciples wrote the rest of the book. How can they have possibly known? hey even found evidence nad stuff.
And plus, when God prophecized for Jesus to be crucified and ressurect, that was thousand of years before in Matthew that ti actually happned. The books of the Bible weren't even written together. So theDisciples couldn't have read those either way. Theyw ere found in different places. And just cuz htey were written by man doesn't maen that they are fake. God spoke thorugh the man adn they wrote it down. When God says that he will destroy a place and kill someone, he only doesn that to the poepl who refuse to believe in Him and do what he wants us to. I don't worship God becuase im afriad to not, but becuase he is the one who loves us even though we si everydya and nont follow Him. Who ever you are Brenda's World, i feel bad for you that you don't know God. Cuz you really need Him in your life right now.

The Bible is the holy word inspired by God and written by man, what's sad is that you don't know that. I hope that you will come to understand the truth accept Jesus so you can know God until then you will only be an unfortunate lost soul and that's garbage.

If we ourselves describe the religion, with time it becomes a burden that it is difficult to get rid of Firstly I think let God describe Who He is What He expect from us What our limits as a creature.. SO IF WE ALTER THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE OF GOD OF COURSE WE CAN NOT OVERCOME THE GAP BETWEEN MESSAGE OF GOD AND HUMAN MADE MESSAGE We are (sorry but) not able to form a religion this is out our limits We are clever, sensible, enough to know and love Him but not to create a religion and satisfy human with that O If we try to do some people start to say this garbage Try to find the original message All the best :)

Your word vs God's Word? What group of men through the ages would all concur on these specific ideals and even die for them? Check it out over 2,000 prophesies fulfilled, I hope your mind isn't too made up.
The only sad thing about it is the ones that give it up for the flesh and that's not smart.

Someday in the future people will look back on Christianity like they look back on Greek Mythology, Your right about the bible though...I used to believe that it was the divine word...sadly its not...but trying to convice close minded people that its fake is harder and takes more then just ranting to get your point across..showing anger towards it makes them feel justified and also makes them think ur possessed by satan or something..they are nuts
