Forget tennis. You should have started playing when you were 5. You can't just decide to play tennis. The pros make it look easy because they have practiced 4-6 hours everyday of their lives since they were very little, they had coaches, they had training and were very disciplined. As a matter of fact, you can't just decide at 14 to be a professional athlete. You can learn tennis and in a few years, if you practice 3 to 4 times a week, may become a good club player, but that is it. As for soccer, well, everyone plays soccer. So that is like wanting to be an actor or a singer, there is so much competition there that well, you have a one in a million chance of turning pro or even getting a college scholarship.

Why not both? In my high school Tennis is a Spring sport while Soccer is Fall.
i think you would have a lot more fun in soccer because a lot of my friends continue to get together and juggle and play indoor in college. Also, tennis you can play even as an old person, so take advantage of playing soccer while you can still take a fall and not break a hip.

If you want to play a sport in which you could have a career, select soccer.
The reasons for my answer are:
1.- There is a ranking in tennis ( ATP ), but in this ranking in order to do a living you must be in the first 100 players.
2.- Soccer is a worldwide sport, the same as tennis, but in soccer there are more than 30 professionally leagues in the world, each league has at least 18 teams "A", 20 in "B" and go on. Here you could be in one team "A" and make good money as much as if you be in the first 50 players in the ATP.
3.- Nike, Adidas, Gatorade and several other brands pay really good money to sponsor teams, players and countries teams around the world every year for soccer.
4.- Proof of how soccer is much better is the world cup, that is every 4 years, all the world sees it, gathering 500M people average in TV transmissions around the world for every soccer match.
So soccer is the best sport for you to build a career.

No one can decide this for you, it is easy to say you want a career in either soccer or tennis but it is the sport experts who can only advise if you have what it takes to get you there. You can't decide tennis yet as you yourself said you never played it before.
I suggest you spend some times playing both sports and discover how you feel about them both rather than ask people how you feel. Try them both out and see. Tennis is not like badminton- it's different. The ball is heavier and you have to hit the ground not hit up in the air. Why don't you have a discussion with your sports teacher or a coach and see what they have to say too.
Good luck!

Depends on what country you are from.
If your from the US or Canada go with Tennis, it's a more americain sport and more likely to get you indorsment deals.
South America or other countries where soccer's big go with soccer.

There is more money in tennis and the "fame" is all on you if/when you win.
Soccer is a team sport, with more players/chances to go pro.
Guess it depends on if you are more of an individualist or team player.

I agree with Shiara. One is a fall sport, the other is spring. Try them both and see which one you are better at.
Honestly though, I'd try and spend more time on your academics. Your mind is more of a sure fire money maker than your body.
