I'm a Christian and I like the idea that Jesus was married. He may have been the son of God, but are also told that he was human and humans fall in love and marry and even *whisper it* have children.
The Bible is an account of the religious teachings and experiences of Christ. It is not a biography. Just because his family details are not in there does not mean that he didn't have one. That is the first thing I was taught when I studied theology.

The Christian Bible was written about 200 years after the Jesus
Crucifixion by common people and a whole lot a fiction and changes
happened to the real story. It become a power grab within the young Church.Yes Jesus was Crucified but while on the Cross a whole bunch of little irregularities happen.Like after 3 days the Romans pierced the lung to see if white liquid formed in the lungs, that never happened to Jesus a sympathetic roman solder scratched him bellow the left lung.Than there was His uncle than was very rich(he was into a shipping business and Jesus made many trips to India as a young man)his uncle had this fancy burial plot built
like you would purchase a burial plot today, anyway it had a secret
backdoor, that's how they got Jesus out.He wasn't dead but he
was close to it.He was nurchered back to health than He and His
family whent on a run.Mary is died in southern France and she is
barried in England,Jesus ended up in what is today called
Kashmier and lived to be 103 years old.HE had a dozen kids

Probably because the Bible does not say he was married, so such a concept sort of craps on the authenticity of the entire Bible.
Also, for nearly 2000 years, trouble makers have produced purely fictional accounts of the life of Jesus. Purely fictional accounts, but presented as if they really have evidence.
One of the latest is the Da Vinci Code. These jerks are doing it to mock the religious beliefs of millions, and if you listen carefully, they view themselves as really doing us all a favor by crapping on religious faith.
There was recently a smart-aleck here on YA who insisted Jesus never lived. Well, you are entitled to your own belief if he was the Son of God or not, but there are historical records of a person known as Jesus who was crucified. He is an idiot and doesn't know that, so he assumes he can get away with simply stating Jesus never existed.
In your case, if you wish to believe Jesus married, you can do that. It's called freedom of religion.
However, you know very well you have no knowledge of such a thing, so don't be surprised when your fictional statements make people angry.

Because it relates to the fact that JC had a past.
As a good Jewish boy, he would have married at age 15-20 in that era. To not be married by say 25, would be shameful and, in itself, a sin, as the most important mitzvah (commandment) is to multiply. Failure to marry would have probably meant having to leave (being thrown out of) the Jewish community (cut off from the people). As a village Rabbi, it would be even more important.
So, it is almost certain that he WAS married, although to whom, nobody knows. There's certainly no reference to his wife or children anywhere reputable. Bearing in mind that if he married at 20 and his "ministry" started at age 30, he had 10 years in which to produce children. The probability is therefore, that he had several children. The fact that the so-called gospels do not mention the fact is simply that the first was written around 50 years after is execution. The people who wrote it may never have known about his wife or children, and, in the interests of promoting their new religion, it would be unwise to draw people's attention to the fact.

It's not necessarily a lie. The Bible says nothing about it. Historically, for a man of Jesus' age to not be married would have been noteworthy. However, let's say Jesus was married. Jesus being sinless would never have lust after his wife until after they were married. Also, let's say hypothetically that it was Mary Magdelene that he married. There's nothing in the Bible that labels her as a prostitute. The "woman of the city" mentioned in an anointing story is confused with Mary of Bethany, who anointed Jesus' feet in John, and Mary of Bethany (Lazarus's sister) was not Mary Magdelene.
Even so, if all of this is true, it doesn't change the fact that Jesus was divine, and that he died to save the world from sin.

that's no longer what's so provoking. If there grew to become into any info that Jesus grew to become into married, that does no longer be a situation. the reason human beings are disillusioned concerning to the Da Vinci Code is that Dan Brown provides heritage documents (like the Priory of Sion) as actuality. The plot of the unconventional isn't a situation - it truly is basically fiction. it truly is no longer inevitably genuine that Jewish adult adult males interior the 1st century could have been attempting to start a kinfolk. The Essenes (no longer the adult adult males at Qumran) did no longer marry, and neither did the Egyptian Therapute. opposite to basic opinion, Jesus and his followers have been citizens of the heavily Hellenized Galilee, and speant maximum of their time interior the Greek cities of the Decapolis. It grew to become into now commonplace at fascinated approximately a Hellenized Jew to be single in his 30's, particularly if he grew to become into an intenerate information instructor. remember, Scripture does no longer say that Jesus grew to become right into a rabbi or a Pharisee. And if it grew to become into so unusual for a Pharisee to stay single, then why grew to become into the Apostle Paul single?

As I understand it, the idea that Jesus married and had children would have normalised Him too much for the Church - they preferred Him to be as Godlike as possible. The idea that He beget children would be seen as a dilution of His power/influence. There might also be an element of fear over the idea that there is a legal heir who could have claim over Church assets and whom might be worshipped - that people might follow the heir rather than the Church and that the Church would have no control over the heir.
Certainly, I think this would have been the view held by the Church when it was at it's most powerful

I am not the expert on this being a pagan and all, but I have heard a very prominent christian theologian (I forget his name...he's dead now) say that Jesus was a perfect man and for him to marry a mortal woman would be improper because he could only marry a perfect woman and because God didn't send down one that means he couldn't have married Mary.
Others say that his job on earth was not to live like other men but to save them from their sins. Marriage was common, Jesus was not.
Blessed Be!

Because it goes against the traditions put in place in the 4th century by the Nicean council and the Roman government for political purposes when they adopted Christianity as the official state religion. Many of the cherished beliefs of the many false modern day Christian sects have no basis in fact or history or even biblical reference. Yet the traditions stand and people become very emotionally attached to their traditions.

Mainly because the Catholic Church, the most powerful Christian sect, prohibits the marriage of its officers. If they accepted that Jesus could have been married they would not have any reason to prevent these people being married and the church would cease to be a recruiting ground for paedophiles and they would have lost their exclusive club!
