I have a program on my pc called anonymizer I can not delete it. It is adding files to my desktop named hurl, hurl1 hurl2.
It is in my doc. settings. When I try and delete it says I cant.
I shut down every program running but it still wont let me delete it.
Xp has no add/remove programs?
Anyone? I just want it gone.
Thanks

Add Remove Programs is in the Control Panel via the Setting item in the Start menu.

You need to uninstall it, not just delete it. Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs then uninstall it from there. If that doesn't work, try removing it in Safe Mode (press F8 just as Windows starts to load).

Sounds like either a virus or a nasty piece of malware/Spyware
Try downloading Spybot or adaware.. both have free versions
or a anti virus program, such AVG, which also has a free versions
here are direct links to both programs....click the links. when your web browser asks you where to save the files to, select desktop. let them download, and then install the programs, and then run them/start them up.. it should remove this nasty piece of malware
good luck!!

If none of the suggestions here work than you can prevant the program from starting by hitting start, click run, type msconfig and enter, click the "Startup" tab and look for that program, unclick the box next to it so it doesn't run when you next start your computer.

Odd problem. Why don't you call the anonymizer helpdesk?
