I don't rub my eyes when I get up in the morning. In fact, I only rub my eyes if they are irritated by dust particle or something. Rubbing the skin around your eyes will cause future wrinkles.

I rub mine in the morning because I have been dreaming of my prince charming and that sure don't look like him laying there.
So I rub my eyes and someitimes shake my head, but it still don't make him a prince charming.......
