Now that Goose and Hippo are getting older, Mrs Pilkinton is finding it hard to come to terms with that fact that they will soon fly the nest. (Quiet literally in the case of Goose)

They certainly are growing up fast, only the other day Hippo was caught with a copy of "hippos wives" in one hand, a jar of mayo in the other and a satisfied look on his face!

How can we reassure Mrs Pilkinton that things will be ok?

Mrs. Pilkinton need not fret. After she boils Goose in its own body fluids and serves him to the dinner guests she can update her wardrobe and her "do" and get a job in an orphanage beating the crap out of other Hippos hiding in closets. After her daily attendance at the church of "help me I'm blind" of course.

Since she is considered normal by most of the other population that follows the "help me I'm blind" church, she will of course do no jail time. (Jail is reserved exclusively for the Hippos that have been blinded in one eye only, and that react with extreme displeasure to the constant "poking" in their good eye with the rod that spoils the little Hippos.)

She will continue through her life, following the "help me I'm blind" church and when she dies and finds herself dead she will say, "How can this be? I was a good member of the "help me I'm blind" church. I followed all the tenets and here I am dead with an updated wardrobe and a new "do" and nowhere to hide. Perhaps I should've also cut off my arms. And why is it so hot in here?"

I think there is a good book available out there in the bookshops to to help teach the older people how to cope with youngsters flying the coop.

All chicks grow and go out in to the world. They have to experience learning about life, also. Tell her not to worry so, they'll be back with little ones for her to coddle. LOL.
Then she will long for some alone time. LOL.

Buy a book about puberty and "accidentally" leave it lying around.
Worked for my mum.
