The questions aren't tough to ask, and a lot need to be asked, and a lot of religious people need help, that's for sure. Religious believers suffer from a common mental illness.

If we assume the universe was created, then it’s reasonable to assume there was a creator. That’s as far as science has progressed today, but just look how far religion has progressed.

Religion states (fact) there was a creator called God, that God still exists, God also created places called Heaven & Hell, God wrote an instruction book called the Bible, God will banish evil people to Hell, God will send good people who follow the Bible to heaven, that people referred to in the Bible (like Jesus) will return to Earth, and a whole raft of other statements of fact. That’s right, religious fact, not assumptions.

Now tell me truthfully, if science doesn’t even know yet whether the universe was created or not, but religious believers state: “not only was the universe created by God, here’s a whole lot more proof and facts to go with it, what do you think?

Either religious believers just have vivid imaginations or suffer from a common mental illness. I think commonsense and logic would suggest that religious believers are mentally handicapped.

Religious people continually insult intelligence, ask them why.

I think not asking tough questions leads to us making up our own versions of what God and Jesus are all about, which is blasphemous.

I think God would rather us ask tough questions in an effort to come to a better understanding of who he is. I'd say he would probably rather we ask tough questions and come to the wrong conclusions than just saying "God is love, that's all I need to know." How can you believe and trust in something you don't have an understanding of?

Not at all. In fact, Scripture tells us as Christians to be prepared to answer tough questions.

1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

No, just be careful what you're asking. Some people on this site are committing blasphemy on a scale I didn't think was possible. I won't even repeat some of the things I've seen... They're doing it on purpose though.

God gave us the Bible so that we could ask questions. He also placed people in leadership, ie. pastors, to prove that he is who He says He is. It is not blasphemy to ask questions, however doing it with the intention of trying to disprove the power of the Almighty or trying to prove that some how God is not perfect in everything He does and is would be. You would then be insinuating that God is like man and is imperfect.

It depends on your motive. If you ask an honest question that you really are seeking an answer for, I don't see how God would consider it blasphemy.

Questioning and seeking knowledge shouldn't be blasphemy. It may well be called that, though, because those in power in organized religions don't like their followers thinking too much. Independent thought reduces their power over their followers.
