I haven't made anyone lose their cookies and my female friends tell me I am definatly not ugly but I can't ask them this question, it'd be uncomfortable.

If you mean how to approach them for a date:
When you get a look, make eye contact and smile. Then if your gaze is kept or quickly returned then make your way over and start a conversation. Its not really hard. Just start with your name and then you could always use the basic so what do you do for a living.
I hope that is what your asking. In my observations it is not always the best looking guy that has the girl. It is the one who was confident in himself and walked up to have that conversation.

the safest thing to do before you approach a girl is eye contact...
if she looks at you but then looks around the area she's looking if theres anything better around.
if she looks at you but looks down and back up again shes looking at you boy...
so if she continues to give you glances she's definately liking what she sees...
so all you basically need to do is look at her and give her a smile and if she smiles back then you got your invitation to make contact by going and talking to her.
oh a word of advice that guys never listen to... if she's with friends and they facing eachother and not really looking around.... they got blinkers on and are there to enjoy the night with friends and would probably do nothing but pick on any guy that thins he can get them..
however if they are facing the room or other people and looking around..... they looking for or at guys.
but goodluck you sound like a nice guy just be yourself though and you wont feel so uncomfortable

well you r u and should never change who u r but on approaching females when u notice them looking non chalantly walk passed them and nod or even say hi us women if were interested will definatly talk

Just smile at them, say hello, and be real nice. Every woman like to hear a compliment so that will work also, followed by chit-chat. Then smooth sailing after that

well send your picture across the yahoo answers and then ask the same question or just dont feel so bad about it, becuase it seems like the girls are pretty shy, they may feel you are a player
