That all depends on you. If you want a change, go for it. Color it or cut it.
As for styles. There are tons of things to do with shoulder length hair. Try different types of ponytails. (On the side, on top, at the nape of your neck) Use different clips and bands .
Here is a website that has a few different ways to fix your shoulder length hair. Have a good day :)

I used to have brown shoulder length hair that parted on the side. I kept that style for years. It all depends on how long you have worn your hair like this. I wore mine like that for about 10 years and just last year I decided to do something different and I cut mine off short and choppy. If you have any natural curl to your hair once you cut it short it will come back and that adds volume to your hair. I love mine and wouldn't let mine get shoulder length again for anything.

I have an indestructable do that I like to use. You take little parted parts of your hair (your are going to need like a million bobby bins) and twist it and then do loops like you would see in a bow one on top of another and then bobby pin it in the middle. Keep pile ing until either half or all your hiar is up. Load with hair spray and there is nothing that can kill that hair!! :)
You can even leave hanging pieces and curl them. Way cute but it does take a while

^^That seems like a great site for more than just hair styles. It has a lot of good hair supplies too.

I would get long layers and then flip it out everyday. If you want to keep it all one length with no layers then I would just make sure it's straightened if your hair isn't straight already and ocassionally put it up in a messy bun or half-ponytail.

For a change, put it in two braids around each ear and to your shoulder. You'd be surprised how easy it is and how good it looks!

maybe you shoul try a middle part, or a nice up do (like a pony tail)
remember kristen on laguna beach, she had her hair in a basic messy ponytail thats in style now, and its really easy to maintain
