God told us so in His law--see the Book of Deuteronomy---"Thou shall not lie with a man as with a woman."

God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. I Timothy 1:9 & 10 tells us that: Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine. Romans 1:26 & 27 says: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natrual use into that which is agaisnt nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet. What is wrong is that people condemn people who are homosexuals. God loves the people, but hates the sin. Read your Bible, and find the truth. We as Christians should not judge people, but pray for them. The people that are running around saying God is allowing people to die, is because of Homosexuals don't know their Bibles very well. God said that we need to put away all sin from us. Jesus said who is without sin cast the first stone. We are all sinners, but some of us are saved by Grace. We must have a personnel relationship with Jesus to go to heaven. There are too many people out here who play judge and jury. Take care and May God bless you.

I'm not so sure that Paul was writing prejudicial views... more likely that he was writing instruction based on Levitical Law (and possibly divine revelation... not sure... )

I think that is the basis of most Christians opposition to homosexual lifestyle... however, I think some of us are a bit misguided...

You see, whether a person is a homosexual, or a liar, or a murderer, or a thief, or an adulterer or doesn't add the right amount of salt to the water in which he boils his pasta (in other words whatever YOU might think he is doing that's wrong)... as a Christian you still have to love everyone.

Sure - hate the sin... you still have to love the sinner...

Since the Old Testament homosexuality has been "an abomination." Paul knew that the Romans were engaging in homosexual acts, and it added to his distaste for the Romans, so it was included in scripture. Paul wrote to churches addressing the sins that he knew (don't ask me how he knew) that they were committing, and issues that he knew was going on in that town. Jesus instructed Paul to teach others when Paul had a vision of Jesus on the road (I think that's in acts). Paul was prejudiced against homosexuality, but only because Christianity and Judaism have always seen it as a sin.

Although the Bible doesn't detail each and every sinful act, it does clearly speak out about many of them. Any deviation from God's original plan for sex between a married man and woman is still a sin in God's eyes. The main reason we call these things perverted is because they are unnatural and scripture clearly tells us those who do such things are committing abominations. Leviticus 18:22 (KJV): "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind it is abomination."

In the Old Testament the penalty for this sin was severe. Leviticus 20:13: "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Today the penalty of death comes in the form of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. It also brings death to the soul and spirit of man because the life of God is pushed out by indulging in something that is an abomination to God. God wants to deliver all who are trapped in this unholy practice and He will if anyone calls out to Him with a sincere heart.

If you are having Homosexual Tendencies I suggets you get some help, without questioning the Bible . What is wrong is wrong, dont try to make it right just to suit your selfish needs.

Paul's words are believed to have come directly from God, so in that sense his words are what God is about. I also used to use the argument that Jesus never said anything about homosexuality not being a sin, but a good point someone once had that Jesus "never said anything about rape, incest or domestic violence. Are those things okay, too?".

The scriptures that the Apostle Paul wrote was given to him by God. If you read Paul's writing he also said a homosexual can be saved & delivered from that sinful lifestyle.

i dont believe in god

i love all people

but religious people who are homophobic could get from the bible words of jesus that say sexual immorrality defiles the person from matthew 15, and at that time it was understood from the leviticus law 18:22 that god thought homosexuality an abomination

the reality is the book is anti-gay, and those who choose to see it as the word of god can go in there with their own hate and pull out all the anti-gay stuff they can get their hands on

the rest of us love gays and everyone and know the bible is not the word of god

make sense

Jesus DID tell us the marriage/relationship was between a man and a woman.

To try and use the "did not say anything" argument you would alse have to exchange Homosexuality with incest, bestiality, three somes....
That was a WELL accepted fact that homosexuality was not a permitted life style.

Remember God loves the Homosexual but will not accept homosexuality!

religions dont like homosexuals because they are not contributing to the number of people born into a religion... therefore are not helping the religion to gain power...

everyone born into a religion is one less they have to convert and the brainwashing can start earlier..

- remember just because the Bible says somebody said something. doesnt mean they did..it just means at some point in time somebody wrote down something and it became fact.. the Bible has been rewritten so many times and the original translation has many errors in it...

Not all religious people are against homosexuality. Some believe that God doesn't make mistakes. Jesus didn't say that, either.
