Hell is not taught in the Bible. It was borrowed from previous religions by apostate Christendom to scare people into doing what the church said, even if that deviated from the Bible's teachings.

If you were a parent and your child was misbehaving, would you put their hand on a hot stove to punish them? Of course not. That would be horrible. You might give them a 'time-out' in the corner, though.

God doesn't torment people forever for the sins of just a few years. That doesn't make sense, and it isn't in the Bible. God does give people a 'time-out' though, in the form of just being dead. False Christianity has turned so many people off religion by adopting man-made traditions and wrong teachings. Thankfully, they'll pay for their sins soon.

Why are you so angry? God does not hold a gun to your head. If he was doing that he would not have given us a free will to choose to love and except him or not. Just like everything in life you have to make choices, all choices have consequences whether they are good or bad. But the choices are still yours to make, hopefully you make the right ones. The reason we chose God and believe in Jesus Christ is because quit often we make bad choices. A loving God He is! We don't have to go to hell if we believe that Jesus died for us so that we can live.

I am sorry you are so angry, I will pray that you open you heart to Christ's love and salvation. WOuld every other believer out their pray for this soul and everyother soul that agrees with this question?

God doesn't force anyone to believe or disbelieve in Him or His Son Jesus. He placed within every individual a free will to choose what they would believe. He hopes they will choose to believe in Him, but He knows that some will not. Hell is a choice- you can make the choice to spend eternity there, or you can choose to spend it in Heaven. Jesus is the gift that was given to make going to Heaven possible - it's only available through believing in Him. It seems like a no brainer to me..... but then I was raised in church and believe that the Bible is true. So, friend, there is no gun to your head - only a still small voice pleading "choose me - choose life".

I am a Muslim who thinks that Islam inherited Christianity and I like to answer this question from this point of view. God (whose proper name is Allah) has 99 more beautiful names or attributes that identify His characters to us. Yes Allah is All-Merciful, but He is also severe in punishment to those who disobey Him. He is All-Wise, and His Wisdom necessitates the presence of contradicting things (good vs. evil, health vs. illness, etc ...) so we realize the beauty of goodness. Allah created us with free will and gave us superior mental capabilities and made us accountable on this basis. His doctrine if applied will ensure complete justice and happiness to all humans, but those corruptors who follow their own desires and mischief in the world cause all the suffering in this life and they choose Hell freely and they go there by their own bad deeds. Allah loves and orders what is good, and He hates and rejects what is bad. I hope this help in answering your question.

The Bible and God are not about threatening people with hell. God did not create hell for people, He created it for Satan himself. It is our choice to go to heaven or hell. If you read the Bible, and you have to read the whole thing, you will find out that the Bible is really about LOVE. God actually created human beings for relationship with Him. God's deepest desire for us is that we choose to be in relationship with Him.

God loves us enough to give us a means to escape Hell. Is it unloving to tell you that your house is on fire, and you need to get out at once?
