Farina or Cream of wheat

Somewhere between1/4 to 1/3 cup of farina
1 cup of water
2 cups of milk
1 stick of cinnamon
(or 4 sticks of Cloves or 1/4 teaspoon All Spice)
1/8 teaspoon of salt
3 tablespoon sugar (or less)*
1/2 teaspoon butter (a thin slice of a stick of butter)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla (or almond essence)

In a medium size saucepan mix :
1 cup of water, 1 cup of milk, break up the cinnamon; add the salt, the farina and the sugar.
Turn on fire medium low, place mixture on stove and bring to a boil, stirring. As soon as it begins to boil turn the heat to low and continue to stir...
After about 3 minutes the mixture begins to thicken( plop! plop! plop! ).
It's time to add the other cup of milk, the butter and the vanilla.
At this point you have to decide how thick or how thin you want it.
Let continue to boil, always stirring constantly to avoid burn or lump.
Total cooking time is about 10 to 12 minutes (or until desired consistency).
Eat it hot or save in the refrigerator and eat at room temperature next day,
or reheat placing the container in boiling water (baño de Maria).

*make it a little sweeter and have it for dessert.
